I'm going to go to every bar I find until I can order a Vesper Martini from the Casino Royale book/movie in its ultimate glory, or as close to such as can be approximated.

2 Measures of Tanqueray Gin
1 Measure of Stolichnaya Vodka
1/2 Measure of Lillet Blanc Wine
1 Pinch Quinine Powder
Shaken with crushed ice and served with a slice of lime in a deep champagne goblet.

The original wine was Kina Lillet or something, and it stopped being made in the 80's, but Lillet Blanc is the same stuff without Quinine, hence the pinch. The original gin was Gordon's, but when Casino Royale was written it was 94 proof but is now only 80. I'm going to order this drink and say shaken not stirred. I've got this whole speel memorized. Anyone else have any crazy goals?

I don't have any in mind. Not as interesting at least.

Yours isn't crazy at all!! Have a blast with it =) Your social life will be at full capacity.

lol, can't say I can top that =x GL finding a bar that serves it :D

I went to a local bar yesterday and tried it substituting Lillet Blanc and Quinine with Dry Vermouth - which is in a standard martini serving the same role. I'm not satisfied yet. They didn't have Tanqueray, only Beefeaters, and they didn't have Stolichnaya, so I had to use the common vodka there, can't recall the name. The drink has potential. I've gotta have the real thing.

...could always make it yourself.

Some personal life goals of mine would be to take up smoking and about 12 things after, quit smoking.

I once had somethin' like this, though I wouldn't call it a dream. I wanted a shot that taste like my favorite candy, Werther's Original. Took some time but I finally got the mixtures and drinks right. It's 3/4 Crown (no other will do it has to be Crown) and 1/4 Butterscotch (can be any kind, I find the cheaper the more they taste like the real deal) in a standard shot glass. Needless to say that ended up on the shots menu at most of the bars I visited in the town. Not a dauntin' task like yours, but the perfection of the taste is crazy.
