when it ended up on my driving simulator and I drove that piece of shit. Ended up on the rough, but it wasn't to bad of a shot to the pin.

I've taken break after break from sky, the game, LSs, in the hopes i find a place with people who play like i play and want to do the things i want to do. There is only one place like that on this server(if you don't count the japs) but I only have 10 MP so I can't join.

I leveled RNG to open doors, but the way the majority of this server plays, they only want to hang out in the lobby, while i wanted to kick it in the penthouse.

I'm so sick of you faggots emphasizing playing with your "Friends" so fucking much and accepting that they don't play a lot and let any aspirations of gaining the "Untouchable" gear. A week before i picked ranger as the job i would level with Partygirl's bard i looked at the items i wanted, full heca, full adaman, ridill, etc.

I join an LS that quickly owns everything that comes to it. Knocking down kirin in an hour consistantly, we fuck up and wipe a bunch of times with 3 gods out and still kick kirin's bitch ass in 2:10. The problem? we can barely get more than 15 on when we don't have our normal farming/gods sessions. People have RL and all that.

I wish we could throw all the people who have the time/desire to do big things and put them all in one LS, and let everyone who "has a life" onto another. You "life" having pussies are the ones that get lost getting to ulli camp, and on the way get owned by faust so 1/2 the fucking alliance has to escape to rescue your dumb ass.

I didn't come anywhere close to the goals of RARE/EX gear i wanted. i have no heca, 2 pieces of adaman, no weapons or accessories. and it makes me mad there is nothing i could do to get Sora in competition for these items. Max people we ever got to Faffy was 8, the last day i showed up there(the third day of our "HNM week" i was the only one there. I can't make people show up, I can't give them the day off, i can't tell them it is not OK to sit in jeuno pretending to be afk while i'm getting ToD.

Last night i posted in LS recruit after I saw a piece of Heca be given to a 69 DRK. I came to sky for DRK, i was told what gear was good for RNG and to take it. I was the only RNG in sky for about the first month, I don't give a fuck about RNG gear. That's why i didn't care my kote got autogiven to a blm way before everything else dropped. that is why i didn't care 2 osodes were given away after i was told 1 week before they dropped i was getting first osode, that is why i left the sky when i was next in line for osode. I could give 2 fucks about RNG gear, I want a pimped out DRK and Sora can't give it to me.

I helped build that LS, we destroy gods before my berserk timer ticks away, kirin is a joke, gration, rostrum pumps, ugg pend, ks99s, nothing is a challenge. but can't get 30 people to do a wyrm, or 15 people to camp kings. Talking to other LS it seems the same everywhere. Too bad everyone wants to play with their friends and doesn't want to join one LS that gets shit done.

So i lost at this game, i sold a lot of gear last night, over 25 mil, with another 15 mil left to sell. It is going to get Partygirl's GS from 80(which she got last night) to the cap.

i play games to win, while the majority of you bitches show why you got beat up in high school and why you get the ugly girls. It is the stereo type of RPG players, and you pussies live up to it well. I wasted my time in a game that takes teamwork and cooperation, only to find you fags are too scared to run up to a jap and slap him. I saw Lucifar camping ulli while i was setting up my XP pt there. It was clear he wasnt going to let us xp. so we decided to move. we head to the teleporter tehre is lucifar and a taru afk. i grab a golem and try to bind it(i was on drk) on him, but of course it doesnt stick, so i flee to porter and take it. It kills the taru, then the alliance realizes what is going on. and save lucifar from dying. I see gil sellers in sky, i mpk them, they warp out. they were not welcome in sky when i was there. i would drop everything and run them out. youpussies say "those are the nice ones" and continue to purchase from them.

this time i garaunteed i wouldn't have any dillusions that things might be better and it safe to go back by destroying the dumb ass harddrive i bought to play socom with.

My real friends on game. Partygirl, Fortresspalm, Mezmerize, Ziegler, Callum.

People who were down to help whoever whenever. Ujio, Quitita, Summer, Corvinus, Arturus, Audino, Falsey, Pannda, Cloudxz, Vang, Onions, Oldsmobeast, Btexpress, Reishu, Kazul, Sactowngirl, Raye, and a couple more, not too many more though.

i wish i could get that list into one LS, adn watch what happens. i stopped giving a fuck about "internet friends" when i saw my "friends" leave my LS after i got them all thier AF. Saw the same thing in Sky.

The majority of you selfish fuckers will only help when it is convineint, or you have something you need help with.

It is for real this time, I've had it with you people, the game itself i still like, but you spineless pussies fucked that up for me.

Sorry to hear you hadto deal with all that crap...I haven't been to gods or any serious HNM runs (nor will I ever, for the very reason that most people are too selfish about NMs and crap), so I can't give any real opinion on that case..

Sucks to see you go Meeze, there was a time not long before I quit that I was going to propose the thought of making an LS but I didn't want to disrupt everyone in their current LS.

I was wanting to start one with the likes of some of your list along with Legalus who is about as elitist as they come and Decidence who is just an all around asshole. Those are the kind of people who "make it" in MMORPGs not your usual lemmings like 95% of the rest of the NA begging and cheering for fucking days off from their end game shells.

As far as RMT and Jap support that's all most of our NA shells know. It's sickening. I remember seeing a few from even the most successful NA shell on the server laughing it up and skill up with that faggot Serise.

It has become disgustingly obvious that this server will never be like the big servers where they come togethor as one or help each other out so you would have thought by now the idiots here would realize it and stop kissing Lucifar/Serises ass like many of you do.

Sometimes tyranny is the only answer. People need rules and restrictions because most of them are feeble idiots who thrive on getting their items the easiest way possible and then ditching everyone else. There have always been a select few who would help me with anything at the drop of the hat as I would have done the same for them. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing another person getting their item or their drop. That's just me. Sadly the majority of today's players do not feel the same way.

Ose is just a prime example and if you really think about it probably one of the first big examples you will ever face with greed in this game.

How many times have you xped a job in LoO and killed him as your level 60 something party or allianced up with another party only to see all 6-12 members demand to lot the jerkin? It's DISGUSTING. I don't give a damn if your mage ass helped kill him and you have "every right to lot" be a fucking man and not a bitch and help out your fellow DRG or THF and let them have the damn thing. I was a Ninja and tanked Ose 2 or 3 times through my leveling there and would get into huge arguments about how only the THF and DRG should lot the jerkin.

As far as RMT when i was in OH i was verbally warned for mpking RMT at Cassie even after they had mpk attempted on us all week. Hell lucylittle and Myhita left the LS because they went with us that ONE day, (the only day we could convince one of our lazy ass THFs Myhita to come help btw) and left the LS because they didn't agree with the MPK attempts on RMT.

Fucking pussies.

Every LS is tainted with them.

If I had all the time in the world, of course I'd realize all my goals in game. Time is what accomplishes most goals in this game, especially when you talk about getting gear and knowing your way around.

A shell that goes to do something and can't because of people that have a "life" needs to find more people that have no life if they want to always have a staff of people to throw at the task at hand. People from around the world play this game, and are made up of all different creeds, colors, backgrounds, lifestyles, you name it...

The fact that shit doesn't always work out and even the best of friends can't always be there to help is just part of it. I don't define my friends, putting them at the top of the heap, just because they have no life and are always there to help me meet my in game needs. If I did, I'd be, what's the word??? SELFISH. Those that can't meet up with you in game, for whatever reason, shouldn't be dinged for having to do something else.

Despite goals, and what one person vs. another thinks a life and priorities are, you win some and you lose some. You can always try, try again.
If you want a shell of people that are available almost 24/7, set it up. You won't find yourself complaining about "spineless pussies."
So I need to be utterly available and never mess anything up in game to be a kick ass friend with a spine? It's ok if you think so. Not trying to tell you how to view the world, but we don't need to agree either.


Surround yourself with the people that make you happy. Work on growing that relationship the way you'd like, and don't just assume that the other person is instantly on-board with all your ideas and your schedule. You'll earn more trust, and have a more honor based relationship with those people...No one said it was easy.


The people that fuck things up, fuck things up. No one is perfect. Everyone has fucked something up. Realize that you can reorganize, take as much time as necessary to plan for the next attempt, and try again. In this regard, as much as RL weaves its way into the game, it's just a game. RL relationships can grow or fall to shit, but it take two to tango...In game or not.

I'd go as far as saying that it is a generation issue.
A while back I read an atricle written by one of the original EQ devs, a guy who was there from day 1 basically, and while that article had a lot of BS in it, there was one thing that stood out;

There was certainly a larger sense of community and common goals and such out there. It was lost somewhere along the way. My theory is that the console-generation is responsible (stereotyping, no doubt, but still). People who grew up playing single player arcade style games on consoles just have a hard time to fit into an environment in which human interaction makes all the difference.

The reason Meeze is quitting FFXI was my reason for quitting the original EQ. At the end of the day we were running through the bugged-to-hell-and-back Uqua, just to hear some people bitch about that they should have been given first dibs on loots. The memory of attempting to pull Vindi 12 times in a row just after Velious came out, for hours trying to figure out how to pull and not wipe, learning front arc rampage and how to set up the ramp tanks and CH chain, and then finally, pulling him again, 4:30 am PST, after having essentially been there for 12 hours straight, pulling him and pwning him, it was just awesome. People had to leave for work just before he fell, and right after, no one gave a fuck about loot, its was about those 5 groups that spend more than half a day of their life together in working hard and not bitching to finally down Vindi.

It's been years, I don't even remember who got the BP. The BP was just bonus, killing Vindi was the true reward.

Alas, those times are long gone, and will not return. It's easy to say the grass is always greener over the septic tank, but I doubt there are all that many, if any, servers on which "the perfect LS" exists.

Hardcore gaming has come out of style. Sony had to learn that the hard way by creating EQ2 for hardcore gamers. Now you can buy EQ2 at the bargain bin of the grocery store for $14.95, while WoW (which was made to cater to the instant gratification masses) still enjoys strong sales while priced over $45.

I would play hardcore if I could, but real life >>> virtual life, always.

It's not that people have other priorites than FF, it's that people suddenly discover these priorities when it's their turn to help people who help them get their stuff. If you are selfless and think of others first there will be people who seek to use you, get what they want and move on. Or these people never help out and act indignant when they are passed in line by someone else. Note for example the Dua affair, where he rarely helped his shell members or contributed to sky farming, was then passed in line by someone for Nepturnal Body and felt justified then in stealing a scorpion harness because he was "wronged."

Problem is you can't really predict this because there's no way to know someone will do this, unless they have a history of doing this... of course people imagine it won't happen again, give people a chance and then act surprised and amazed to find that people with bad reptuations amazingly do bad things!?!!?
Also to Vang, I won't say it's right for a mage to lot on assault jerkin, cause obvious that's selfish. I'll just say it's wrong for the melee not to pay that shit back at some point, and what you think happens more often... mage lots on item that melee needs more, or mage lets melee have the item and melee see that mage shouting for help a week later and ignores it?
 
All the hardcore gamers are spread out across a bunch of end game LSs.

The definition of hardcore is not someone who plays 24/7. the definition of hardcore is waking up at 4 am to get to a ToD whether it be HNM or just NM for your personal use.

The problem on this server is that there is only 1-2 LSs that are pretty much packed with that kind of player. the rest of the hardcore gamers are spread out over the rest of LSs and sit and watch as the casual gamers attain thier gear and running back to thier social LSs where their friends are. there is a constant recycling of casual gamers in end game. they get it, they drop pearl.

My social LS was my end game LS. When my RNG was approaching end game, i decided to disband my social LS i made with my socom friends. The reason, i thought lvl 70+ players were dedicated to thier LS and achieving the type of goals I had in mind. I thought lvl 70+ players were financially set and was hoping to share gil making ideas with them and them with me.

Turns out the convo's about gil that existed in the dunes continued into sky. a small percentage of players know wtf they are doing. people been in sky for months and still don't know what island is what. people asking if anyone knows a ToD for a particular item instead of camping it themselves. the casual gamer ruins this for the people who are trying to accomplish shit. I actually felt sorry for Peregrine when I joined his dynamis LS. He actually knew wtf was going on, but was surrounded by 80-90% of idiots who don't know their asshole from their elbow. bunch of fucking lemmings following the crowd not knowing what was happening next.

Take that casual gaming shit to 1 player games and go back to the internet chat rooms for your social interaction. save the MMORPGs for people who actually want to be surrounded by players who know what the fuck they are doing.

How many times I have looked up someones AF3 fight when i get the people together to do the fight because the person I am helping doesnt know wtf is going on. it is a rare treat when the person I am helping leads me to the fight, and all i have to do is kill something for them, not keep looking over at my laptop to see where i am heading next.

The hardcore gamers are here, they are just stuck in thier LS being told "dont worry, we are getting where you want to be, just give us time" well, i gave it time, and i see the same people who don't want to show up to ToDs or events continue to get gear and thier hand held through sky while I waste 100k+ a night on ammo and let them have a free ride.

No more free rides from me, hopefully the hardcore gamers on this server will team up and let the "life" gamers figure out how to get curtana or get to faust.

The causal player is paying the bills so that you can be hardcore if you wish to be. If it weren't for the casual gamer, then SE would have pulled the plug on the servers a long time ago.

SE makes the rules of the game.
Your LS makes the rules of the LS.
 
ask your end game LS how many want to put in the time to do land kings/wyrms. if none say yes, this doesnt apply to your LS, and you have a LS full of casual gamers.

But i know there are members of Sora, Affinity, Valkyrs, ESP etc. who want to kill those mobs, but thier LS either a) don't participate in that arena or b) don't have enough members who are willing to show up to camp those mobs everyday.

every LS seems to have a small handful, and they also happen to be the leadership (in most cases) in thier prospective LSs. If those members came together in one LS to do sky/hnm everyone would have all the gear possible in a month from sky, and will be competitive in the Land game.

It's kinda like our LS rawr, we made it to have fun, we tell people when they join if they want a hardcore LS to go somewhere else. is it wrong? is it scrubbish? no, it's what we want to do with our time, to have "fun" in this game.
Just because you viewed this game as something you needed to "conquer" doesn't mean that word means differnet things to other ppl, maybe they want to spend all day talkin chattin w/ their friends, have em pay the 20 bucks a month to do that, good day, instead of postin a bitch rant in here about everyone else who's different from you, maybe you shoulda posted something in the LS forum about recruting ppl that wanted the same shit you did and created a shell around that.
Your view would be the same if I called everyone w/o a high lvl craft a scrub and they need to play this game and do what you're supposed to do with this game *meaning craft craft craft*.

Also vang, omg I hated that shit when I lvl'd thf up being my first lvl, I wanted an AJ for so long, and I've put my time in on it. 1/11 on my own *that 1 went to cerescole /cheer drg* and never did get mine, I ended up not worrien about it.. after losing lot to blm after whm in xp PTs there was just too pissed off to care much.

As for this whole debate.. I am gonna have to agree with Meeze, Vang, and the bunch that are arguing that side. There's too many selfish people in the server and too many people that get lost without.. I dunno.. thinking and remembering how to get to places and what's needed at those places. I seriously don't see how sky is hard to get around or Ulegrande Range.. they are both big circles. One you need to activate a pincerstone to go to the next island (not hard to do) and the other you can only go counter-clockwise... Too many times have I heard "I don't wanna go.. there's nothing in it for me" and too many times have I been so angered by it after the countless times I've helped them out at various missions, quests, NMs, etc. I get so mad to the point where I want to MPK them at every turn but I don't cause of my own morality. As for the gilsellers or the asshole JP.. pfft.. if I'm around and have the chance.. I prolly will MPK them. I don't care if you are a "nice" gilseller.. go to hell.
