Recently, my Window boot up screen been freezing up. After the Bios screen, you see window XP and the loading bar fading in. But during the mid fade in it freeze.

I ran some test, and i found out that when i unplug all 4 of my fan (all rans on 4 pins connector) my window boot up normally, but when i plug all my fan, it keep locking up in the same place at the mid fade in boot screen.

This week, i also have some random freezing. My computer just freezed for no reason. I have SMART HD monitor on, they said is all healthy. Run Checkdisk no file corrupted, 0 bad sector. Sometime during bios screen, my MOBO cannot detect my 2 hard drive, and tell me boot disk failure.

I have a Silverstone Zeus ST65ZF 650W PSU
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817163108

I have 4 add-on fan in there,
1x 120MM 135CFM
2x 80MM 15-75CFM adjustable, and 1 unadjustable 50CFM
1x 120MM 67CFM

I also have...
2 Geforce 7800 GTX 256MB
2 Hard Drive, 160GB and 250GB
2 CD/DVR-RW
2 Light sticks
1 Sound Card

And a AMD Athlon x2 4800+ 2.4Ghz I believe running at 75W

So is this a PSU problem? or something else?

Any feedback would be nice, thanks ^^

sounds like a power supply issue. did you add the fans recently or some other hardware?

No, i had the fan for quite a while, and no new hardware added on.

My computer is 4 years old, and run average of 16hr per day.

I dont know, the unpluggin of the fans says power supply.. but if it was a power supply isssue, most likely your computer would just shut off and not even get that far...

You could try replacing the power supply but if that doesnt work... run a self test on your hard drive from the BIOS

boot up issues could be many things. bad cd/dvd drives could cause it to freeze as well. this type of problem sucks because of the many things it can be. you really have to go item by item and eliminate possible problems until you find it. for now, you have to kinda go for the obvious and test that first

I don't think is CD/DVD Drive problem, although i never use my CD-Rom and it can't open using the eject button unless i poke that hole, but if i have CD in there, it reads fine.

Well when i google it, i Search PSU Dying Symtoms, one of those was random freezing, restarting, trouble booting up, so i was thinking it may be PSU problem

2 of them fall into me, 2 time that my comp didnt' even boot up, you know when you turn on PC, couple second later, it make a beep sound? 1 time, it didn't even beep at all, so pc is powered on, nothing on monitor, no reaction HD, just exhaust fan PSU fan, and all 4 of the fan is running. and 1 time, it take 10 second to make a beep.

And this recent week, my computer freeze up for no reason as mention on the 1st post, no respond to mouse, keyboard. The HD reading indictor not even blinking

I think i found the problem, my main HD is really dieing, alot of constant freezing and Boot Disk Failure, and indicator light if HD is write/reading is unresponsive and not blinking. not PSU problem, i'm gonna try to back up my files (cloning using Acronis) once my HD is arrived
