My rant about people

Ok so hmm here I am again ranting.

heres where it begins. I FINALLY in this game found my way of making gil. I have been able to get my whm in moderate to high quality gear (Full Blessed, Death Earrings, Astral/Ether Rings, etc.) Now that I can make gil suddenly I am everyones best friend. This makes me very angry. I am completely over lazy people that bitch and moan about how broke they are, and if it wasnt for RMT everything would be so much more affordable bla bla bla. I can make 500-1mil gil in a week farming, and I farm easy things! Come on people! Go back to basic gil farming, Kill yags/orcs/gobs for 10-20gil each, farm crystals (I farm about 100 clusters a week), silk threads! Beastmens Blood, there are sooooooooooo many ways to make gil, just get off your lazy ass and do it!
And this 500k a week, yes its not much, pretty much supplies my items for guild points and food for exp parties, But its a living. You could use it to level a craft or hell, do what I do, GARDEN! My god people come on. Everyone want to put sellers out of business?

It's not just an FFXI issue, it's a general American culture issue. I love how Americans (in general) complain about losing jobs to countries such as India and Mexico, where the labor costs are extraordinarily cheap compared to America, yet they bitch about the prices of "American made" products and then turn around and complain that they don't get paid enough. Laziness, arrogance, and ignorance are staples of our culture.

Well it's not the worker that sends his job off to another country to do the work. In general though American is better than imported. I don't know what part of America your from but I hardly see laziness or ignorance in most people. As a country that produced $11 trillion in goods I do think that a little bit more should go to the workers that produced that income. Plus with what the cost of healthcare is and considering the amount of people that do not have coverage, a little bit more money wouldn't hurt.

I feel bad that the only time I've made a killing with Gil was during the holidays with all the inflation :\ I ended up selling a lot of my gear for more than twice what I orginally paid for and bought some of it back after the x-mas rush left. Playing the market by luck I guess ( . .);

However, on a side note, a great way to make gil is BCNMs, that is what I have been doing lately. Not only are they a blast, but they get people together for a fun night that can prove profitable. I also agree that gardening is fun too ^_^. Platinum Nuggets ftw!

I can make 500-1mil gil in a week farming, and I farm easy things!

I made over 700k in about a week with a galka character I made to see how easy it was for new players to make cash. I did this just to see if I was justified in getting frustraited over people begging for gil handouts while I was in the dunes. Turns out I was.

Now I'm not saying that a new player will have the same results as me. In fact I expect them to not know the true value of things or what would be best to level off of, but even cutting my earnings down to 150k, which I feel anyone who pays reasonable attention to whats going on would be able to make, would be more than enough to buy basic equipment such as scale mail when you hit level 10, an up to date weapon, any magic I need pre-30, and possibly even some food to snack on from NPCs in the town while leveling.

I never leveled a craft besides goldsmithing and leather crafting so that I could get rid of flint stones and sheepskins, and I have yet to get my subjob. All 6 of my starting jobs are at least 12 with full spell lists and a good chunk of change remaining. I loaned myself my leaping boots, and thats it.

In summary, there is no excuse for begging for gil in this game. There are so many crafters out there competing for materials that anyone can make decent cash without even being high enough to get a subjob.

Yup I agree. Honestly people, I am a leader in an end game shell. I have sky 3 nights a week, plus trying to get my whm to 75, and I still have enough time to farm. Clusters are so easy to get ahold of, find a zone you know has a consistent weather condition, go to ffxi-atlas.com, find where the elementals pop and get to farming. 1 hour of cluster farming gets me about 18-20 stacks. Then I discovered gardening which Ill be honest with ya, if you have the time to do it, you can gross about 6million a month gardening on 1 character. Now come on, even a lvl 1 noob can garden. And thats killer cash no matter what lvl you are!

Are you talking about the actual building or the workers inside? Because those people aren't lazy, they just know how to do as little work as possible and make the most money doing it. Hell I would love a government job, out side of the DoD writing the checks.

The workers inside. I work in a government building, and I would say that probably atleast 75% of the people in here are lazy as fuck.

i farm tree cuttings 250k not alot? well i garden them and like 1/2 them become the ores i need 6mil is easy (takes 21days but if u plant 1 every day for 21 days you get into a cycle and make 1mil a day by hitting 2 buttons and hunting or buying 1 tree cutting a day!!) on this game people are lazy
