This is more or less a rant on my family, my main targets being my sister and her dumbass fiance, Dane.

My sister is marrying some fucktard, who has the IQ of 30. This is her first "real" boyfriend, and he proposed to her and she said yes.

My sister is as dumb as he is, apparently.

She quit her job, said it was "too stressful". She must have had a tough job, eh? What did she do, you ask? She was a cashier at TJ Maxx. (A clothing retailer). Imho, stressful jobs in retail come from management on up.

Now she is hurting for money, says life is stressful and she has headaches every day. Know who she turns to? OTC medications, folks.

My sister and Dane got a joint bank account. Pretty much a bank account with both their names on it, except he's the only one making the money to put into it. She needs a fucking job.

She won a contest on a local radio and won $1,000. I asked her what she plans on doing with it and she said she is going to go shopping. Dumb bitch. Invest it into a savings account.

Oh, this guy asked me to be a groomsman. I'm obligated to do it for the family.

FML. How do I get out of going to this wedding?

My sister is an out of control, spoiled 19 year old brat who thinks she lives in the fucking OC. I won't even begin to go on about the drama she stirs up and how she likes to flip-flop on how she treats others. Believe me... I would love to rant about her shit... but I have restrain myself lol.

Anyways like your sister, I've tried to talk some sense into her. (So has everyone else in the family, outside the family, etc) What does she do? Blows up in my face, no matter how reasonable I'm being.

But you know... I still love her, and she's family. So I'm gonna do whatever I can to make sure she ends up ok, even if I can't change her behavior at the moment.

So, if your sister is beyond your help, still gotta be there in whatever way you can, even if it's just putting up with them now so you can be there for her and/or her children in the future. That's how I was raised to think about family anyways.

Even if they do infuriate the ever loving shit outta you... =/

I hear that. I haven't seen my 31 year old brother in over 4 years. He has a son who for the first year seemed to be the one thing that would make him change. 1 year that lasted, after my nephews first christmas, boom, my brother is back to his old ways and disappears.

He refuses to speak to anyone in the family, won't take our numbers to call us, won't allow us his number or to even know where he lives.

Problem, well way too much to mention. I personally think he has a mental condition, but because he has shunned us we have never been in the position to help him.

/sigh, the only way any of us have been able to not let this distroy our lives is by 'giving up' . We have done everything we can. But he's paranoid we're all out to get him, when really we just want to find out what's wrong and help him.

If he were to call me tomorrow I would do almost anything to help him, except let him take advantage which is what drove us from trusting him. We would give and give and when we finally said 'no', or offered some kind of help/advise he'd turn on us and call us out like we're all evil. It's heart breaking, extremely heart breaking. And to think, I often wonder whether I'd know if he were alive or dead. And he's a grown man.

I wouldn't say you're obligated at all. If you just tell him how you really feel about him, and about your sister that should pretty much get you out of it. If it doesn't, just refuse. Not a pleasant scenario, but then again neither is backing something you don't believe in.

now now, all hope isn't lost as of yet, i know alot of people who have kids that are completly opposite of them in terms of alot of things, i used to work with this one dude back 2 years ago and he and his wife were beating to near death with the ugly stick, i mean they were assaulted hardcore with it, their child was pretty damn cute, now whos to say if he will grow up and just ugly the fuck out that i don't know

so there is a chance that two dumb fucks having a baby could result in the next albert einstein...who knows, sometimes likes cancel each other out.
