Happens if your using windower and d/c and then log back in without restarting the windower. It just happened to me, I posted on archbell to let them kno.

That's very interesting. One thing I noticed looking at your screenshot, is the glitch makes every word translate the same. I highly doubt everyone was auto translating the exact same words either. Sounds like something that windower is doing. Check it again, all the japanese text is the same.

Apparently it means the dictionary isnt loaded, notice you are getting the exact same string of text every time.

I had the same problem, and I can comfirm that it happens only when you DC on windowed mode, and then log back in. Simply doing a /shutdown and reloading FFXI works as a fix.

I must admit, this version of the windower is rather shoddy...

Could be the week of no sleep Cliff got because this wasn't his only project, could be the constant badgering he got to fix it, could be SE just plain made it harder than he had thought. We may never know.
