Since I don't really know anybody in the town I live in.. I thought hey. I'll try to make some friends on myspace.

Somebody that is cool and pretty much mellow. Now I do know I am acting shallow in a way, but seriously.. Does anybody know what I am talking about? The Myspace Angles?

I made a friend on myspace and we were gonna kick it today. I went to meet her at a location that was easy to find. Target.

She looked like a Umpa Lumpa(sp?) It was funny.. cool person but not one I would want to kick it with in public.

Enough with the angles.. lol

Anybody got a story bout the angles?

After reading your post 2x to make sure I understood what you meant... I believe this site was made in the spirit of the "myspace angles."

No pun intended.

uncalled for when you don't know the background. I'm too busy doing my stuff each day that needs to be done. There is only 24hours in a day.

I do not understand what you mean. lol.

Im busy, but what do I do with my free time... Oh woe is me

Wait you're too busy during the day but you have enough time to chat it up on myspace? Here's some tips get off of myspace stop smoking so much weed and go out with your girlfriend.

That was a good laugh, I've never heard the term before, but I have never done the myspace thing. Looked it up, good old urbandictionary.com
Pictures which were specifically taken and uploaded to fool the Myspace community into believing you are more attractive then you actually appear.

This is done by shooting pictures of yourself at angles in which you are most appealing.
Tom - I finally met that girl I've been chattin with online all year.

Jerry - Oh yea, how'd it go?

Tom - Miserable, she was twice as fat as her pictures and had a mustache.

Jerry - Oh man, I can't believe it! You fell for her myspace angles!

I heard about "the angles" from here.

Myspace is good for dating, particularly if you're gay and hate bars. If you're straight, you just need to log off the damn computer and talk to a girl.

Myspace can be an amazing tool to utilize if you're just looking for a fun night.

However, you ARE taking a big shot in the dark when they don't have bod pics up, or pics of them next to things you can use to compare for height and crap like that. ;p

Meh, sorry to hear about the dud.

GL with the next.

For everyone telling him to go out and meet a girl IRL or w/e, idk what kind of courage the guy has or free-time he has to go out, but lay off.

I'd like to see pictures of those giving him shit over this and poking about his social life.

Odds are you couldn't pull the the caliber of chick you desire deep down IRL (for the straight guys) or on the web and want to knock a man for playing the odds of the interweb, if even just for a new friend.

For the m4m action, it is considerably harder to know straight up whether you're barking up the wrong tree and the myspace medium gives you a profile of criteria to search by, sexual preference being one of them.

Straight/gay idc, it's the same pain in the ass to find someone who fits you well, if even only for the night. ;)

Just chill and let him do his thing without being so negative.

I mean I'm not sure who here doesn't like who, but I'm sure we can all band together and give a nice high five when someone gets some action, or finds a friend of sorts! XD

This more or less is one of those where I'll just say, "better luck next time guy, or be less selective of what your friends look like."

I'm boozed up, bored and probably missed the point of this post...

...but I'm smexy, I'm allowed not to make sense. <3

I didn't mean that in a mean way, or directly at the OP either.

Like you said, if you're gay you can't just go up to someone and talk to them, because you don't know if you're barking up the wrong tree. Hell, statistically, you will be 90-99% of the time, depending on where you live.

Having been in this situation, I'd love to be able to just go up to someone and start talking to them instead of meeting them under a prearranged medium like myspace.

Although I imagine it can be hard for straights too. No offense, OP, and good luck.

maaaaaaan, it wasnt until Stouter's post thats i finally read "angulz"...for 13 posts i thought you had a date with a fugly midget ass halo angel...

I'd have to agree with this, there's a limited number of ways to meet someone, and if you're not a bar person that doesn't know people with single friends, you're extremely limited in where you can find someone you want to date. In the last few years I've met 4 women that meet my minimum standards for dating (someone I enjoy spending time with, smart, mature, single, and not fat or ugly). One I got to know and couldn't stand being around for extended periods of time, one goes well beyond my minimums but lacks the attraction (I would set her up with a friend if I had a single one I considered worthy of her), one I haven't gotten to know very well, and only one of them is someone that I could see myself in a serious relationship with (and will soon, she will be mine)

I've never done the internet dating thing, and snicker a bit at people that hook up online, but I can understand people using it as a way to get a conversation started with someone they would potentially want to date. Ugly people need loving too, and most of them won't even get someone to talk to them IRL. Meeting someone online removes a lot of the shyness, and allows people to get to know someone without immediately discounting them based on looks alone. You don't need immediate physical attraction to have a relationship with someone, most people will lower their physical standards after they get to know a person and enjoy talking to them.
