As some of you may know, QCDN has this silly guideline that people who post here need to put their main in-game character in the signature field. See: Rules of Conduct - few and simple - READ!

It also seems like many have not read the above, or simply don't care, thus the current poll.

Yea, I think char-names are nessacary in the sig. Mine's there. Of course the exception is if your user name is your char name, but not many people do that.

Except if your username and char name are the same, how do the rest of us know unless a) we know you in game or b) you put it in your sig? =P

So yeah, add it to your sig. It's not that hard. I need to know who to /slap and who to moon.

I don't think it should be absolutely required. Encouraged, but not required. If an anonymous person misbehaves, just get rid of them.

Replace the { }'s with [ ]

Just to clarify, because I did get a couple PMs about this as well. The current guideline asks for your main in-game character *somewhere* in your signature. This does NOT mean it has to be an image, NEITHER does it mean that your character name has to be on the image you display in your sig.

Not sure why some think they need to make a signature image with their name on it, hopefully this clears up any confusion.

Hrm, I've always been a bit etchy about this. I mean, I think its a good idea, atleast for those who have a different in game name than their handle.

But I'm not putting my name in my sig, its the same as my handle here not to mention I even put it inside my avatar for the heck of it. I don't need to be any more redundant by placing it again in my sig, that by the way actually already has semiuseful info in it, for those who care. If someone can't figure it out, that really is their problem. Not to mention, if someone really wanted to know, they could always ask me for clarification. It's not like that's hard to do.

Your avatar doesn't currently show up.

The rationale behind putting it in the sig is that not everyone's QCDN handle represents their character name. I have long since added a mod that only shows the sig once per page, and it's not like adding 'Ecks' to the sig line will overload the database.

okay I'm rules compliant with this rule now, though something makes me think I should double check to make sure there is no rule about accessing the form in ones underwhere. :wink:

I am all for atleast having your login name on your sig...so we know who we are talking to (and about) It is not really fair to be flamed by someone with an alter-ego, and vice versa.
