(incidentally pro-footbal makes far more money than Neon Genesis. Neon Genesis is NOT a billion dollar enterprise, I was being sarcastic. More money is made from, on, and by footbal in one season than Anime makes in a few years. I've done the research having been beset by nerds on this case before.)

1. That means you're spending more money than I do.
2. There's more than anime, video games and cartoons to my life
3. You wouldn't be able to recognize art in story-telling even if it slapped you in the face

So if you think making a few people millionaires due to being able to throw a ball and tackle a fridge is good, more power to you. However, if you think that comparing industrie sizes makes you better than everyone else, then you're thinking with your dick.

Thinking back, I believe this flew right over your head. I was making fun of your formula. I doubt there are a lot of people in Africa, Europe, South America or Asia that watch American Football on a regular basis.

I know football has a big cultural following in the U.S. and that it involves a lot of strategy, as most team sports do. However, your intolerance towards people who have different hobbies in life is blatantly obvious. I wouldn't have minded if you just called people like me, who chose non-mainstream interests in their lives, nerds or geeks. But saying "fucking nerd" has hit a nerve with me.

I don't expect an apology, you seem above that. I just want to put emphasis on how spiteful a man you are towards people who don't like what you like.

I'm totally a nerd...

I just spent $30 on a Bill & Ted "Wylde Stallions Rule" T-shirt, I've probably ran more in Super Smash Bros Melee than in real life, I play FFXI and love it, I collect comic books and dressed up as a white mage for halloween last year....hmmm what else. When I was working for the Pokemon Patrol at the Calgary Stampede I sang Poke Kareoke with a bunch of little kids in a skanky Pokemon Patrol staff shirt... Anyway I could go on and on but I won't. I for one quite enjoy being a nerd.

I'm a sports-geek. I love 'em... It's a joke between me and my friends IRL (Anglis, Roin, Jobe, Tezz, Keefe) that I'm a "jock"... Was one of the captians on the football team, but I much prefered hanging out with the "geeky band kids" as opposed to the freakin' moronic football players. I enjoy the company of geeks... But, just to keep up my cover:

I thought it would but I'm okay with it. It's not so bad to be a nerd anymore, hell they're making toys for 30 year olds now and re-releasing all the stuff we've grown up with (That fancy Optimus Prime Figure =P~~~). The average age of Video Gamers now is what, 28? When I goto my local comic book shop there are no kids inside but it's usually jam packed full of 20+ year olds buying the latest Hellboy Figurine and picking up the latest issue of Batman. Bands full of nerds are topping the charts! Bands like Weezer, The killers, Deltron the Funky Homosapian....I saw a girl dressed up like Episode 4 Luke Skywalker win the halloween costume contest at a bar I went to.

The word Nerd doesn't necessarily entail non-showering, pimply faced, anti-social dudes who still live in their parent's basements anymore. I'm quicker to laugh at some jock with a silk pimp shirt, spiked blonde tipped hair in DNKY jeans that cost way too much money blowing the rest of the money he didn't spend on the razors he uses to shave his chest on some chick at a bar that'll never go home with him (I'm guilty of taking advantage of this XD) than a dude reading a comic book or playing a gameboy.

Maybe that's just me but oh well :wink:

I think we're all pretty guilty of being nerds...I mean we're here on a forum discussing the ins and outs of a massive multiplayer online RPG in which we pretend we're mages and warriors? Anyone else see the humor in somebody trying to make fun of nerds here?
