Today I was In Khazam, leveling my WHM/SUM 27/13. Since we had an excellent Paladin i was anything but busy, so I had a chance to Read some of the Shouts.

And there i Saw it: "Foxmine: War/Blm 25 lfp !", or something to that effect.

I was feeling a little Froggy, so i decided to Jump ... I shouted back what kind of useless Job Combo that was. Now, for Clarification Purposes, i am not Anal about Equipment, i am Anal about Execution, meaning, i like Clean SC's, Good MB's and in Short a Party where people have Roles, and fulfill them.

To my , less than polite shout, Foxmine replies it worked great as a designated Puller. Obviously the Next Question was: How so ? You are a bad tank and a Useless Nuker ? He replied he would rest in the Pull Area for MP while the WHM rested and then Pull something using Magic. Furtermore he used a Greataxe, so he dealt more Damage than a Swordwielder ...

I was very Amused by this, and explained to Him that a War/Mnk or maybe even a War/Drk, with a Crossbow or Bow, is more valuable to a Party.

He then explained to me that it is not about what works for others, it is about what works for him. I replied, that he, once again, was hurting the party by wasting a slot that could be used for a "Real Party Job"

This was carried out in /shout, which meant at this point people wanted us to shut up. his answer to them was: "Foxmine: Ok i wl stop piking teh Noob Ellah !"
"Foxmine: I won't take Advice from someone who has died more than me !"

Errr... Whm/Sum ? ---> teh N00b ?
Well, obviously i Die more than you, People like you Play Tanks !

Well, after this debacle we carried on, and i asked him to explain to me how this would work, he told me: "Foxmine: all this crap coming from someone who hasnt pulled once in their Lives !" (edited for English Language)

I will close this Rant with My Joblisting and the Statement that after that he was /blist'ed.

far from a Noob, this is my 5th Character after all ...)

P.S. his english was barely identifiable, hence some of his Statements might have been "misunderstood".

I dont want to make this a huge issue... but you kind of did start the fight. You certainly had a point and all about his job not being the best in a typical party situation; I know I wouldnt invite a WAR/BLM. It's pretty obvious that your party was going along well, and not needing another party member, and you were bored and all, but why did you feel the need to start with this person? I'm pretty sure he would find out that his combination wasnt the best from either not gettting parties, or having his parties repeatedly die, but I dont think there is any benefit to some stranger shouting about how bad he sucks. If you are mad over the fact that someone called you a noob, dont be. It's a stupid insult that nerds usually use when they want to feel superior to someone else (I know, I know, "nerds" dont flame me) and it really shouldnt bother you unless someone is following you around and basically ruining your life.

Anyways, I do like reading flameboard posts because most situations are just so funny, this one gave me a laugh as well :D

Yes, i fess up i did start the Fight, and yes i was bored, the Issue i'm having though is that People like that seem to Foster ! they have a Union !

But yes, i did let the Evil Me take control there a lil. So yeah, i was in the Wrong, but i was Fighting the PL Monster creeping along this Server ... Turning Idiots into Higher Level Idiots ...
 
He is free to play the game he intends to play. And if people are ready to invite him, how is it my business to intervene? If it annoys you so much, just /blist him. Over time, the less attention those people get, the most likely they'll start to learn about how to be a good team player.
 
Yeah I definitely would not invite him as WAR/BLM if I was looking for tanking or nuking. You are just asking for your party to end up in trouble with the addition of such a character.

However, it's his perogative to play such a numbnuts role.

WAR/BLM rules. You can tank with BLAZE SPIKES on for ULTIMATE PUNISHMENT.

Have you ever thought this combo MAY actually work for him?

*Shrugg* I'm not saying it's conventional, but I for one am pretty glad to see someone not doing the cookie cutter thing. If he does it well, good for him! If he doesn;t, then he should think about subbing something else.

No judging till I see it though.
