Wow, I take it back, seems like they're doing it really well. Maybe I shouldn't be complaining, I do downloaded lots of anime, most of which will most likely be licensed here or already is, and most series IMO are done fine or even better. Sometimes though it does hurt when things get cut and knowing that people aren't getting the FULL story does make me upset, but hey, better they get to experience some of the shows then having nothing.

Anyway, I'll look forward to seeing the premiere, and plus now people who play the GC Naruto fighting game at my store will finally know who the characters are, LOL.
 
Lol yea, im still kinda new to downloading anime on a regular basis. As for licensing and stuff, im willing to bet the next show they bring over is Bleach. I wonder how that one will turn out... =P

The voice acting is fine :\ jesus christ.. atleast they have emotion and such... you wanna hear bad voice acting? Go watch Armatage III the movie edition. I can't remember his name... errr... he was in 24 >< he did the voice of the main male character.. no emotions WHAT SO EVER! As for most anime.. most anime is fairly good dubbed... everyone just gets all pissed off when it isn't EXACTLY like the JP voices.. well fuck the JP voices.. I like the dubs >.>
 
I do agree with demon >.> i've never seen the unedited versions and Naruto's Voice did stick out to me from the start, also i'd like to add that I have seen a lot of edited anime that cuts blood out... and I can understand that in battle scenes where blood is everywhere.. BUT THEY CUT OUT THE NOSEBLEEDS >.>!!! That is just wrong and the scenes themselfs just don't fit or make sense to people who have seen nothing previously to the seris
 
You know, the one thing I realized is that no one gave a shit about my reply. <sigh>

But they couldn't show the nosebleeds for some reason. >_> Blood in and/ or after the battle is okay but gratuitous blood is a no no. You know, just like being able to say "ass" on TV but not "asshole".
 
lol yea i watched the first episode earlier tonight and noticed the lack of nosebleeds and also lack of emotion. but then again, anime isnt the only thing in english without emotion in speech. look at Kieneu (spelling?) Reeves, i think thats that guy. the dude that played Neo in matrix. and i mean of course the japanese and english voices are going to be different. they;re 2 completely different languages. its the -tone- of their voices that throw u off..

I've seen the entire series so far in japanese and I watched both episodes. It was good. I still don't like naruto's voice, and there were some minor things that only irritated me, but it was still good overall.
 
For the most part the episodes were how I thought they'd be. I didn't like either of them because I'm just used too used the japanese voices. They don't really show much emotion like someone said before, so that was kind of a drag. I'm curious as to what they'll do with the later episodes since the series starts off very happy-go-lucky and "kiddy" and gets pretty dark later on. Those that watch the subs know what I'm talking about. Hopefully they'll move it to Adult Swim or something instead of editing it for the younger crowd... or have the uncut version on Adult Swim.
Guess we'll see what happens :?

ya.. I've seen many many episodes in Japanese but I don't have a problem with the English version. I thought the voices were pretty good.. I wouldn't really see Naruto (to be honest.. he was never my cup of tea.. kinda annoyed me in the JP version too. I like the background characters more (Rock Lee ftw!). Anyways.. I think it'll get better over time. Just have to let the voice actors get more into character.
 
Actually, the dub ones are pretty nice. They did good, not great. The voices and names of jutsus are alright. The only thing that ticked me off were the intro and endings. But, oh well, they probably had some licensing issue with the music. It would be pretty nice to hear and see the original intro and ending.

Actually one of the things I've been noticing is that when it's off of Adult Swim (who can played uncut if they want to) they have to have editted openings and endings.

I think it's something with the company themselves.
 
Well recently adult swim has started speeding through the endings. I remember wondering what happened when one day the animation for Real Folk Blues was going 2x it's usual speed and ended before the music was supposed to. Then they did it for every other series, so I guess it was some decision they made. I'd love it if they showed the full openings though, Go! was the best one so far.

Yeah, I wish they'd do that too. When one day I seen the one InuYasha beginning I was estatic.

Ah well, they're again, pretty odd about it. During Cowboy Bebop, they speed it up to fit one extra comercial in. Sometimes, too, the anime was previously an OVA which ran for 30 minutes + ending. It has to be shorted without the 2 min. beginning, the 1-2 min.+ ending, and the such.

Yeah.
