It's called a double issue, but that doesn't mean there's two chapters worth of content. It's still just one chapter. I was totally expecting Hashirama to suddenly appear once Madara screamed out his name.. but it didn't happen. *sadface*

Well, pretty sure Kakashi got himself stuck in a genjutsu. Most people with huge gaping holes in their chest where their heart should be don't continue talking, whether or not they feel pain. >.>;

Behold, bad writing.

None of this was foreshadowed at all. There was actually no insinuation whatsoever at any point to any of it. Not to mention Obito is directly contradicting himself in this chapter since it very clearly was that exact situation that broke his willpower.

Psh, it was just one panel where he mentioned that. Doesn't bother me at all. And now that the 4th (and presumably everyone else that was traveling with Sasuke) has arrived it's looking pretty sweet indeed.

Good chapter aside from the part where Minato can use Kyuubi mode for zero reason whatsoever.

I can't even fathom an explanation for this. Maybe because he sealed that part of its chakra inside of him?

Yeah.. he kind of sealed half of the kyuubi's chakra within himself, well.. right before he died.

Remember the Gold and Silver brothers? They got all buffed up just by eating parts of the Kyuubi's stomach, if I remember right.
Minato kinda should be able to realize he could do that, since he is basically a super ninjustu genius by all accounts that people have spoken about him. What took Naruto so long to master, doesn't exactly apply to his father.

Also, FUCKING AWESOME CHAPTER!

Man I can't wait for the next one! (keep saying that a lot lately.....)

It's not an ass pull, really.

But, I'm getting tired of the "here's something cool that hasn't been foreshadowed at all" every chapter.
