Nazis in the QC

For all the scrubs going to talk about LS hopping, I'll end that bullshit right here.

When an LS works for you get better gear, they are doing it to benifit the whole LS. That means that you should be on that LS whenever you are needed. Especially when you get to end game, I never understood the point of having "Social LS's".

I ran a social LS the first year and change I played, and nothing worse than getting someone their AF and then seeing them rocking another pearl the next week. You LS hoppers always expect to have the LS at your beck and call, come on here flaming about how you can't ever get anything you want and all this other bullshit, but it is always the same story. "I checked all my LSs, but couldn't get anyone" Ya mother fucker, you deserve to never wear that peice of AF if you ask me.

Every AF/key hunt was the same, me, the person who needed an item, MY FRIENDS, and thats it. I often tanked key hunts, even though I got many PLDs and NINs their AF. Why? well, looking back, for nothing. It wasn't worth me getting from 61-64 almost exclusively on coffer hunts, watching gimp geared mofo's level past me, then all of a sudden have milz of gilz and buying everything under the sun.

I know what hard work an LS takes, I didn't even get into running Sky, thats some shit that will wreck your dumbass minds. I'm teaching my LS now how to organize the runs themselves, how to get help when they need it, all stuff that I've done and has worked for me. People are just too lazy, would rather have someone else do the work for them.

your point is good all the ls shifter suck, but there is nothing wrong with social shells. Not all your friend do end game or even in stage to do endgame, not all sky shells do cop. not all shells do dynamis. There is a limit where the amount of people start to have a deminish effect on morale and effectiveness. Now I would not go as far as to call them nazi, because you knew there rule and you broke them. Though it is a stander rule with all sky shells that you cant have any other sky shell and that reasonable. As for the ls not helping sky that normally a genral policy with most shell to. The amount of time consuption that would be taken if every couple of week they had do zm 4-13 would be overwelming and really unneed. By having do it yourself this allow other who need it to do it as well.

I think you missed the part where the OP said he was only going to say "Hi" on his friends LS. It was a nice circle jerk your LS pulled off in the begining but didn't quite pan out there.

PS: Do you still think BoL stole the E-sword? 'Cus... we didn't. Thought you should know.

Neo man, yer great and all.. but.. it might've had something to the whole "You're all nazis" thing too i'd imagine. I wasn't the one that kicked him, I don't know if he actually got kicked or broke his shell.. don't really care if he broke the rules.

Antor:

Never really had a problem with you.. and the only person(afaik) that uses windower is me.. and it's seriously because I believe SE should provide it. I don't like my computer being completely taken up by one application.

We still follow our own rules, and so does almost every member in the shell.. it's the occasional one that comes along and doesn't like one and has to talk shit.. or be a constant downer on others(which is what romper did mostly imo). I think it's not that difficult to follow rules, and we want to be able to do it all eventually.. but that can't happen if people hop and don't develop any sense of teamwork. Someone else said that god shells don't allow you to have other shells, what makes this one any different? The fact that it's not got enough people to do gods just yet?

We do allow exceptions to the rules, we are open minded folks.. but yes we would prefer if someone informed us instead of just being online and in other shells. We may perhaps need one of the members for an event.. we don't necessarily add everyone to friendlist since SE limits it to 200 people. *shrug*

As for the website, the current incarnation of it was originally designed last april, and it's been up for a while. It may not have been up when you were there but I didn't exactly have server space. Now i do and I pay for it out of my own pocket so we have a place to leave messages for each other.

Anyway, that's all I really had to say.. Good night and good luck.

I have been a member of DoD now for 3+ years, and have made pretty tight bonds with a majority of the people in the shell; afterall, the most important part of teamwork is trust, no? This is a solid LS and I just really need to get some things straight.

First and foremost, DoD's rules are not up for public debate. You are entitled to you opinions; but need not share them, as they will have no bearing on the way our LS is run. Our rules clearly specify one LS only, with few exceptions to these rules as previously stated. At one point I wanted to start my own crafting LS to network with other crafters to help supply materials, and connect buyer's with seller's. This idea was shot down by the Officers stating that I should just network within the shell. I didn't throw a tantrum and storm out of the shell, or become a negative black hole of bitterness. I realized that by emphasizing crafting within the LS, that LS would in turn be strengthened economically and also motivate many to start crafting; which it has.

Secondly, Romp knew the rules when he accepted the pearl, and chose to disregard them. This whole mess could have been avoided by simply having enough courtesy to let us know that he was going to pop into his friend's LS just to say hello to some people he knew in there. Kaete is a close friend of mine IRL, and is very reasonable. As long as Romp was not constantly hopping between the shells begging for help, it may have been allowed an exception.

Thirdly, if Romp had been just a little smarter and maybe showed some leadership qualities\problem solving skills, rather than accusing all our members of being Nazi's (WTF Romp, btw... way off base) he wouldn't have been booted. Perhaps the smarter thing would have been to calmly and rationally explain the situation since he lacked the fore-thought to give us a heads up he was switching to another LS for a bit; or better yet, regain adherence to the rules by suggesting a possible alliance... but no, accusing all of our members of Nazism, much better idea. [Good Job!]

Had he done any of the above, then this whole issue would be moot; and we all would have never had to waste time reading 11 pages of crap...

Antor, you were a great member of our LS and still a great player of the game! I was sad to see you go; but you gotta do what you gotta do right?
I am glad you are well^^ Hopefully we will party sometime.

Everyone else, hope to see you in game!

In conclusion, DoD is a good solid LS. Always growing and looking for new members. There are no Mac Arthurian "witch hunts" for LS hoppers, this was sadly just a poorly handled goof by Romp.

Delayed post, but better late then never. Gotta hit the boards more often^^
