Need Advice Please ...

So here I am level 70 now and the ultimate Genkai is at hand ...

I have my whm testimony and figure what the hell, let's see if I can beat that old man eh? So, I take a deep breath, exit my happy ass to Ru'Lude Gardens and go face my adversary, the one who has put me thru so much hell in 3 other Genkai's -- Maat.

My first time like a total stupid ass I forget to take echo drops, Big Huge Mistake. Of course I think to myself, how could I have been so stupid? But, okay, I got him halfway down in life, lasted about 3 minutes before he cast silence on me, it's time to try it again.

I find a pld, Grayswander, (thank you btw for your help, I couldn't have done this without you or a tank for that matter), the second goblin alchemist drops my whm testimony and now it's time to try again.

So, this time, I have my trusty echo drops, 4 bottles of pineapple juice, my darkstaff and blessed hammer (sure, yeah I can hit the guy to death right), and 2 yagudo drinks with me.

I go up against him again, and sure enough choked. I lasted about 3 minutes.

Sooooo, can anyone out there tell me what else I need to do or buy as a whm to beat that old man who keeps knockin' the crap outa me?

Any advice at all is greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance.

PS. I now need yet another whm testimony, so I also have that hurdle once again to overcome.

Kat, Genkai 5 for WHM is pretty easy as all you need to do is to just cure yourself and let the old man beat you.
You weren't suppose to engage in the battle with maat.
But I can't 100% say you don't need to engage maat as I went in as a DRG.
However, from what people told me, all you need to do is to survive from a certain total DMG.

Well I finally did it ... and thanks again for that link ... I truly think what helped me was the Earth staff, 2 bat earrings and using the blind potion to give me +30 evasion ...

Anyway ...

Level 75 here I come ... weeeeeee ...
