Need help ASAP!

Last night I tried entering Zi'Tah to help someone with af stuffs and suddenly my pol keeps crashing every time I zone into ZiTah now, anyone ever had this problem? I can't even log in to get out of there now without crashing ><

Note: this happens with and without the windower, no matter how I try to log in.

Edit: I've done the file checks and nothing came up on that either, tried calling the tech support and they want to check my connection, that can't be the problem to my experience, I've been to ToAU and CoP zones before this happened.
 
I haven't heard of this happening, but I did have another strange POL crash issue where I would try to modify my chat filters. I was trying to change the "/tell" to "hold" and everytime the game would crash.

Have you tried getting in touch with a GM yet? Could be a temporary problem with the area.
 
Tried a GM last night, they told me they can't do anything and I had to wait for the call center to open in the morning, just to get the bs "I want to check your connection" line, I can log into my mule easily with no problems.

I would suggest doing a search on google, find out which .Dat file pertain's to ZiTah and copy it in another folder, after you have made a backup of the file, delete it in the original folder and run a fullcheck, the server will then update (reinstall) that zone .dat

Although I have only ever heard of this happening when you attempt to edit your .dat files... so if you have done that (Not saying you have..) you may want to start making backups prior to any changes.

Thanks, I'll have to try doing that. As far as modifying dats goes, I'd love to, just not enough hours in the day for me to even attempt it ^^;
 
I've had similar problems in other zones, but they were only temporary.

A while back I had an issue with bastok markets, I zoned in as stouter, and prompty hit R0, eventually getting dropped. I zoned back in to the same thing. I went to my bastok mule, and had no troubles in bastok mines. Then I zoned into markets with my mule and hit immediate R0. The send still worked, because when I logged back in I had moved to the spot where I had been kicked out at. I zoned into metalworks and everything worked fine. The next day I had no issues with the zone, and haven't had any since. There was no listed maintenance at the time for the zone, it just went away.

I had the exact same thing happen in xarc once, it took 3 dc's to get into glacier where I didn't dc. I zoned back in to xarc to test it out, and hit R0 immediately again. I called a GM, and got the generic "make a bug report" response from him.
 
I think I finally found the problem, I'll know once I finally reinstall and update again. As far as I can tell, the Zilart expansion was never fully reinstalled on my system when I did a fresh install for some odd reason.
 
This happened to me with sky. I had to reinstall. D:

That happened to my for one of our dynaxarc runs. I was trying to trade the hourglass but after hitting OK on the trade window, it would just close with no messages or anything. After trying this for 20 minutes I logged out to discover that I had not entered the RoZ registration code after I reformatted my computer earlier that week. Punched the regcode in, FFXI update, logged in and could enter.
 
Fixed it now, turns out somehow I didn't install RoZ period, the files were there, but it wasn't actually installed as far as my registry was concerned, did a full reinstall/update and everything is ok, I even remembered to backup my settings/macro files this time XD.
 
yeah...odd enough, this happened to a friend of mine in a promy...

only, she never crashed, but the area she ended up zoning in...was, let's just say glitchy for the lack of a better word...

yeah...weird stuff has happened to me to...a couple of weeks ago I used a warp cudgel and my character never fully loaded into aht urghan (aka my screen went black for over 10 min)

thankfully, I waited a half hour or so, and the problem resolved itself...
