Neovivi and Jereme [M]

Can someone please translate Jereme's posts? Babelfish doesn't do leet > english, and leet is painful to read.

Here's the real question, if the shaman cloak would have dropped, would you have offered it to Lavi? It's one thing to say "we got shit drops, you can have them" and completely different to say "omg we got the drop, fucking awesome, here, we'll let you have it even though we came here and CC'ed you wanting it ourselves."
 
All I see is...

4 people, apparently not noobs (Lavi isn't, I know that) who didn't bring echo drops to camp Centurio. WTF is wrong with you people? I'm not saying you deserved what happened but you sure called for it.

I even bring poison pots for centurio myself (he did a dirty trick on a friend and myself once).

Also, my guess is everyone was after quake rather than the cloak. If the cloak drops, sure it's for the BLM50 but everyone wanted {money} except for the low level BLM, that would be my guess.

Finally, NM camping ethics is and always will be: if you help, don't expect it will be reciprocal. People, in the middle of things, will get very competitive and will just let you die no matter what. You take the risk to fight a mob you are not ready (no drops, no poison pots) or powerful enough to kill safely, it's your own problem, not the CCing neighbour. I never yelled at someone for not helping me when I was in trouble with a NM, and it happened before.

bajaratt there is a such filter cant say what it says but it the secound 1 to to with other partys

morale of this story and would have saved lot of hard ache bring ECHO DROPS

wolf if they are the same house that would be a exceptable witness because they where there not in game but they did see. i go over to my mom house every couple week and me and my brother play in the same room and i could account every thing that happen on his screen

Lavi was there camping the cloak, and I would assume that Neovivi was helping Jereme camp for the cloak, and might have been after quake himself.

About helping without expecting the same courtesy, they called for help, and recieved it. This wasn't Lavi thinking they looked like they might be in trouble and tossing a cure their way, this was them about to die, and calling for help. With only 2 people anywhere remotely close, they were specifically asking lavi and her partner for help, and got it. Then the tables turn, and they see it's obvious that lavi is about to die, and watch, then claim the NM as soon as it goes yellow. I'd be pissed too.

Mind you, I'd be pissed. But I wouldn't flame about it, because when u're fighting the NM, the only thing people have in mind is: "I hope he dies, so I can steal the NM". I don't believe in courtesy when camping NMs, at least I don't expect it from strangers. What Lavi did is VERY nice, and everyone knows she is a nice person. What they did, be it intentional or not, was common practice anyway ><

Nah that's not leet. I can read leet. It looks like he was trying to use a lot of comma's and just forgot to put them in. Then he combines that with bad internet speek u know? Short sentences work to your advantage.

@ least wen u argue u shold use proper and pwn peeps with u'r proppa gramma cause' it luk's soo gr8 when u use nubspeak.

As for camping a NM with known status ailments, at least prepare properly unless this was more of a whim situation. Although I like the difference in NM hunting moral's that was shown >.o
 
First all 4 of you are morons for not camping with a THF to actually get the cloak and/or better drops.

Second, Lavi, STFU, you were pwned by a pretty sad NM. I would not have healed you and neither should they. They didn't owe you shit when you helped them before. Sure maybe if you were getting your ass kicked by some placeholders but not the NM. I can't believe you're even whining about this.

You came unprepared and got beat, they took the scraps. Just like Argus is not MY NM, Centurio is not yours either right? Killing placeholders was your doing. Hell if you wanted to you could have just sat there till they left or started killing PH themselves. No one forced you to cure them or kill placeholders.

Personally I would have let the 2 CCing fuckers die, lesson is now learnt i hope.

I've seen terrible drop rates with TH2 (+1) and insane drop rates without any TH. TH2 does not give you a 200% increase in getting a drop, it doesn't even give a 50% increase. Why is it retarded to camp a NM with a 1/10 drop rate but not if you can get it up to 1/8?

Btw Vang, shouldn't you be playing some FPS game or something? That's definately the mentality you have about this game.
 
I was wondering about the echo drops when I first read this last night as well. Anyone who goes without at least one stack (and you'd need more than one for your goal) deserves an antican gang rape.

/nod /nod its a guarantee they are going to use jamming wave which silences you 9 times out of 10. I run around with echo drops on me all the time, regardless of where I'm going or what I'm doing. I can't expect someone to be there always to silena me.
 
yeah, im with everyone on this, you didnt bring echo drops when you were camping a freaking antican... good job! you got what you deserved.

and the item didnt even drop lavi.. they're trying to be civil with you and you're being a cunt.. he even offered you the stupid items that dropped.. damn girl, chill..

all is fair in NM camping woman, you should know this by now.
 
Lavi, stop spouting BS, even with all filters off, you cannot see what status effects other people are afflicted with. You can see them take damage, but not status effects. Hell, even in your party, you dont see status effects, only that the mob uses a status effect inflicting move.

Actually, you do see status effects. whether they are poisoned, silenced, cursed, paralyzed, etc, etc and whether or not they have "no effect" or are evaded, all show up in the log. If you are not seeing them, its because you have your filters off......
 
I believe you can also change the color of status affects as they appear in the log, so you're less likely to miss them. At least I think Halifirien has told me this.
 
Unless he means when they are no longer afflicted. I keep my filters on for those who are affected by something and also so I can keep track of refresh wearing and haste. If someone else cast it on them though I do not see when that status wears off. I have never noticed in my chat log when a pt member or non pt member has ever become "no longer asleep" or "no longer silenced" .

The NM came unclaimed at one point at time early on in the fight, did they steal it then? No they let you do your thing. Didn't steal the NM from you. When they called for help they knew that they may not have gotten it and would require Home Pointing it back and Tele-Altep again. Just like anyone should expect even when in a normal xp pt experience. Things go wrong in situations. When they do and your not prepared for it suck it up and move on, tomorrow is another day and another chance for the cloak.

For those wondering how I knew what happened, I live with Jereme as I clearly stated. There are some in this game who are a couple and live together which is the case with us. I would not have been there camping with them anyway as I am only level 52 RDM and would be more of a hinderance then a help with them both being over level 60.
 
I meant status ailments cast by the mob. (Sorry, long morning...) Yeah, if you cast an enhancing spell on someone only you and the person you buffer can see when it wears off.
 
Yes, status ailments can be color-coded for better visibility in the logs. If someone gets poisoned or silenced, etc., it turns up as a very hard-to-miss green. I wish all status ailments appeared; when a crab uses Bubble Shower, the logs do not reflect who needs Erase. I'm not sure if there's an extra filter I need to turn off for that.

Reading through these four pages of flames, I have to agree with the outsiders' consensus. I like you, Lavi, but you were asking for trouble by not having Echo Drops. Any mage leaving a moghouse without Echo Drops is a fool. Your magic is your life, and you should never put yourself in a position where you can't use it.
 
I forgot my echo drops in my mog house and since I had competition I did not want to leave while they took the NM and I was busy getting them. We were both mages and we both can do Silena. The idea was my friend would stand far enough away from Centurio while I killed him and if I was ever silenced, he would remove it. He was dumb and stood a little too close and got silenced as well. Things can be done without echo drops, I've done it in the past before but my friend stood just a little too close.

As for Neovivi and Jereme, they recieved my help when they called for it but when the it was the opposite, I did not recieve any. They watched as all the Antican linked not once turning away from the NM or moving from where they stood. They could have taken a single link. They didn't. Do I need to call for help to make it obvious? 4 links and a NM and you don't offer to atleast take one, then your intentions are clear. You have none to help and you are there to take the NM. The drops come after I die and nothing of any value drops so you expect me to believe you or even care if you offer me nothing of value like you are doing it out of kindness? If I go out of my way to help someone, I should expect the same consideration back regardless of whether it was a NM or not.

Apparently too many people are hung up on filters. Yes, you can have it filtered so that any action taken on you and your party are seen, any action taken by your claimed mob is seen whether it be on you, your party or someone outside the party. If you cannot set your own filters properly, then shut up, that has nothing to do with this post and everything to do with the fact you are an idiot. Even the filters are clear to their meaning and you cannot read them, yet you come here and insult me like you are an expert, when evidentally you are not.

Sort of like that time I watched you die and delevel in Qulum Dome. You got pwned pretty bad and I enjoyed every moment of it. Now unlike you, I have a bit of compassion. I help people even when I do not know them and I think I deserved the same bit of compassion back. They had every chance to make some effort to help but clearly did not. They didn't make an effort to clear the room. They left the placeholders for me to clear and only killed agro. More than likely they could not even duo Centurio and did not belong there in the first place, but they stayed hoping to get lucky and they did when it meant screwing me over. This isn't an argument over NM ethics. This isn't about not having echo drops. This is about helping someone out and expecting the favor back but not getting it.
