Nervous, Meeting an FFXI player in real life

Well i know its a long while away, but i think around October time this year depending how much i have to work to pay for it, i may be coming out to America from England to meet someone ive met on FFXI.

Seen a couple of other people meeting threads around here, just wondering what it was like for those involved. Also any comments on what people think im doing are welcome, would like to see if others would do the same :)
 
I wouldnt mind meeting a few people i've met on FFXI. I think it would be awesome if everyone in my LS met up somewhere and had a BBQ or something. But that probably wont happen, lol. But the question is would anyone else go out of their way to meet someone from FFXI? I would.
 
Who ya going to see mate? I've been across the pond a couple of times to visit american friends I've made while they've been over here.

Keep an eye on airline websites, bigger ones like BA do random sales during the year. If you can get one its a lot cheaper.

Ya man, it's kool I met my wife on FFXI XD XD XD we met IRL about 4months ago, we've been dating since may of last year...so almost a year now :D she's wonderfull :) most definately one of THE BEST choices I ever will have made ^^ best of luck to ya man 8)
 
Yeh Ronith your post was one of the ones i read, glad to hear it worked out great, i hope when i go over to america it'll work out for me too

Well ill tell a bit more of the story, this is a girl im meeting up with and we're pretty much quite into each other, we webcam and stuff on msn, and spend as much time as we can together on ffxi. If it was just a normal ls mate i wouldnt be so nervous, but this i a girl who from what ive seen so far, i can honestly say i love
 
while we didnt meet trough FFXI my GF, known to many as Elphaba, and i met online. we waited a year before we met in person and it was one of the most wonderful experiences i've ever had. good luck and i hope it all goes well. :D

You probably already ready read about how my hubby and I met through another game (Halflife). The first time we met in real life, we were both so horribly nervous the hours before but the moment he stepped off the plane and we saw each other, all the nervousness went away. :)
