New Equipment! (02/19/2008)

Mmmmm new COR gun.

This makes me smile..

Was kinda hoping to see new relic though... :|

I wouldn't be overly surprised to see new armor come out of the Allied Notes selections at some point in the future, at least. Just hard to say if that will be this update, next update, or an update next year for all we know.

It'll probably be either the ultimate or penultimate release for AN items, a full set of 70-75 armor appropriate to the nation and used by its NPCs in some fashion, etc.

Let's re-live the last 36 seconds of my life...

Tim sees a thread titled "New Equipment!"
Tim begins to get excited in his pants.
Tim sees lame pictures with zero details on anything.
Tim has gone flaccid.
Myrrh spells color funny.
The end.

lmao ^^

its too bad that even with a new computer, you wont pass 30 fps by much...maybe 32 fps..
however, in cod4 i get alot higher than that.

Spoiler:
EVERY NEW VERSION UPDATE HAS NEW EQUIPMENT
Yes, but they still advertise it better in other version updates. That is, if they even bother advertising it <.<

Yeah.

They said our item storage couldn't be raised due to PS2 limitations. Lo and behold, Mog Locker was upped to 80 and now we have Gobbie Bag 7 & 8.

Whatever they did to magically upgrade every PS2 in the world needs to be done again because someone's pulling their chain about "limitations".

hmm looks like new rings or earrings to me

In that most unlikely of worlds, we might see a Hexagun that doesn't suck (perhaps it could even have Quick Draw bonuses of some sort), an Amood variant with a latent that actually makes sense, and perhaps even a dagger that could entice a RDM to melee with it... somehow.

More likely we'll see another hexagun whose sole arguable use is pulling, an Amood that is still utterly useless 90% of the time, and a dagger that can entice stupid RDMs to melee with it.

That's because CoD4 doesn't throttle your FPS to match old equipment.

Sorry, but I have ffxi installed on both my ps2 and my laptop and I'd much rather play it on my 50 inch screen tv, sitting on my recliner (reclined of course), with a ps2 controller then a laptop or a desktop for that matter. So whatever.....

I'm not advocating cutting PS2 support entirely. I'm just saying that there's no real reason why any supposed "PS2 limitations" should have any effect on those of us who aren't using machines that are arguably outdated.

every computer/ps2/ps3/x-box/nintendo wii becomes outdated the day after it leaves the shelves...IT101

i myself prefer to play on my laptop, cause i can cheat and have a distance plugin that really i think should already be a feature (among other plugins that i like) sure my fps arent 1337 but i can still play the game and have my tv free to do other things when theres nothing going on in game

I play on PS2 cause 1. I was slow to get a computer (month ago ftw) 2. FFXI not made for Macs so even if I wanted to play on my comp (which I really do) I cant. And no Im not going to buy a PS3 or Xbox 360 so I play it 3 days a week for like 10 hrs total.

If your lap/pc has vga/s-vid out, just get a usb-ps2 converter or a pc gamepad thats similar and play at a higher res.

on the note of location, thats windy and what looks to be jugner forest....
