Oookay..so all these new rules are messin with me - ya'll still can't just be good can ya ;)

Anyway - I'm seriously thinking about getting back into the game. Kind of scary since I've been gone for like..2+ years but..I need to actually go buy the damn game again..either pc or what? My Ps2 had an unfortunate run-in with a bottle of Merlot so I'm open to suggestions on platforms.

Any suggestions?

Oh, and even tho I'm not supposed to post it here...

PC > PS2 as far as graphics and gameplay go for me. Never done Xbox 360 on this game tho. Personally I think mastering the game with the keyboard is faster than the controller, especially because of how you use macros; it's slower on controller because you have to scroll. That's my opinion :O)
 
It would seem that finding the PC and 360 versions of the game are much easier than the PS2 version, I've got both the PS2 and PC versions and always found the PC version to be much easier to play for many reasons.
 
If My computer wasn't crap, I'd vote PC. You can use a USB keyboard for the PS2.... Using the controller is horrid.

The Xbox360... I'll never have one, so no comment.

I have ffxi on all 3 systems, and I am by far the fastest on ps2. 360 just feels like slow motion.

I have no idea what your talking about with having to scroll on a controller. And uh, you kinda use a keyboard for the ps2 also...so you can do it with a controller or a keyboard.
 
I'm on PS2 and PC
Like Ice I'm faster on PS2 considering I've been using it for about 3 years, but PC does have a lot of advantages over PS2, other than being a lot cheaper if you don't have the HD.

Thanks fer the opinions - I had Ps2..played for a year-ish...yes - used USB wireless keyboard and no - wouldn't even try to do a controller...heh..

I'll be starting completely over...that's what makes me sad :(
 
welcome back :biggrin: . I've been away for awhile as well. Not sure when of if I'm coming back....:ph34r: As for your system questions, I've only played on PC, I've seen the graphics on PS2 and it looks like @ss. Xbox 360 looks nice though not sure how the game play is on that. If you need a hand with something send me a PM here.
 
If cost is an issue I know that you can buy the PC version of the complete game (with all expansions up to this point) for only $20 at Amazon. I didn't look at any of the other platforms so I can't speak for their price.

Sigh..

Looks like I'm gonna have to wait a while. Getting the game set up for a ps2, finding a ps2 that has capability for the HDD -- is going to be an ebay nightmare. I'm looking into the xbox idea - but not for a while..and since I'm running Vista - the pc version compatible with my puter isn't available until December 31. I was getting kinda itchy to play, too... and not just with Jen..hehe.

moowahahahaha <3 COME TO ME JEZZZZZA!!!!!! Well, I will be around here and there if/when you do return....waiting to be itched and played, so look me up when you do <3 RAWR :nyam:
