New Expansion?

By far, finding a tank is tough, but it's such a teaser tho to see 3 tanks seeking and NOT One single healer in sight... UGH!!1

In anycase, i always wondered if Geomancer would be a possible tank, but using the elements to stoneskin, or blink or even spike damage with fire~ =P Dreaming is always nice..

I was thinking Geomancer would we one of the new jobs. If you think about it every expansion has new jobs though so I'm pretty sure they will throw at least 2 more jobs in to make it an even 20 or more.

It sure would be nice if they brought a second dual wield job in. Necromancer would be nice but when it comes to that I'm just dreaming ; ;
No other FF has had a necromancer that I know of.

Can we, like... stop with the Zam and discuss things that are remotely possible? >_>

Capes won't work, PS2 limitations (or so SE will say). Hell, my laptop has enough trouble in Besieged, why kill it entirely by having everyone and their mother running around in some fluttery thing that is either badly animated to save system resources, or properly animated and a resource hog? A visible linkshell marker, instead of a dot besides the name, would be cool, but as Xalioniaf said, it doesn't make any sense for a game like FFXI that lets you change shell at will. It's a freaking pearl out of a clam shell, it's not gonna make your ratty brown cape suddenly change colors.

@Josudes

There's a Necromancer in an area of Chains of Promathia, an expansion that added no new jobs. PUP has been discussed as a merging of Necromancer and a couple other jobs, much like COR is a merged Gambler / Pirate.

@Celvantes

"Either it'll be something so insignificant people will wonder why they bothered, or it'll have a serious effect on gameplay and fuck over said Taru PLDs"

What you posted falls under the "something so insignificant" category this time. For racials to be worth adding, they need to be decently strong. But if they're decently strong, then they create a serious imbalance. And either way, it's adding something waaaaaaaaaaaaay too late in the game. "OH HEY GUYS, THE GAME'S BEEN OUT FIVE YEARS, SO WE'RE GONNA ADD RACIAL ABILITIES NOW, K?"

Sorry I should have said almost every expansion ; ;.. I guess I am just hoping. New things always make the game more interesting.

Killjoy!

I find having high expectations not met to be a lot more of a killjoy than having low expectations exceeded. I also get really annoyed at people wanting stupid cosmetic changes for no real reason other than to add more lag my already-hurting computer. No, we're not going to have armor/hair/penis dye. No, we're not going to have visible capes/belts/necks/slotthatdoesn'texist. No, we're not going to have male mithra. No, we're not going to have equipment with spell effects like GMs get. No, we're not going to have a pink goblin in a tutu that shoots laser beams from its belly. There's just no point to it.

Cosmetic changes, like the new bomb core icon, are always associated with a related change, and the devs going "Oh hey, while you're at it..."

LOL.. love the sarcasm. Damnit I wanted a pink goblin in a tutu as my npc ; ;

Fusion!!!! we must have fusions!!!!! jk jk

You think any of the opening movie events would be taking place in the next expansion? Seeing a younger aldo... tavnazians in san d'oria... the northlands expedition... etc etc?

If I recall BG's speculation correctly, the expansion takes place a few years before the northlands expedition... But the others should be possible, and I'm definitely looking forward to whatever ends up as the mission line.

Yeah but the gay people wouldnt have anything to wear to coordinate with it makng the capes only look tacky. Tacky clothes displease the gaydar of miros and he would immediately respond by atempting to remove the clothes of every singe mage ingame and hump them in a disturbing orgy of taru screams.

As if I don't do that already? Ask my Dynamis LS. =p
