As some people might know i am moving account to a NA to a EU for some ressons. I go up to store clerk and they said no FFXI in stock, but there is the new one. I then ask when it would be coming in and they said its not as POL is stopping there FFXI 4 disc thing, they are doing a all in one CD with all 3 add ons and the main FFXI with the card game as well.
Has any one seen one of these mine be in tuseday and will put pics up if need be. Just did not know about this.

So it's a DVD with all of the expansions, just like what they did with CoP. I might want to pick this up depending on it's price, I seem to have to reinstall my game once a year or so and it'd be nice not to have to keep track of 7-8 discs.

Yea i might get it i got a DVD drive in my PC that works but never use it :P right now only disks i got is the POL one all the ffxi are saved in zips.
But one big CD be a good idea i think plus with it you get some other stuff like the shop i am getting from gives you the offical FFXI book on how to craft nms etc bascily a walkthough guide from company piggyback what i use for my halo2 and use that one for the maps.

what about those of us that don't have dvd drives? I luckily had my old disks when I reinstalled, so i just installed all of my old disks and bought a new game for the registration codes.

I don't have a DVD-ROM either, but I still picked up a copy of the game and downloaded the game data and then used my registration code to activate the content.

Its not going to be on DVD its on CD like i said before it should cost around £45 the clerk said so idk whats that in your crazy $s

why does everyone have horror stories about reinstall <,<
i've never had to reinstall. Ever.

Atm it is FFXI, Rise of Zilart, and CoP. But right now the only disks like this that they are making are on DVD drives, so if you don't have dvd drive you could be in a tough spot.

And to Marajade i only had to reinstall because i quit the game about 15 months ago and unistalled and now i decided to come back so i had to reinstall. Took me about 6 hours to install the game and patch.

I've seen this instore at game (one of the gaming stores)

They have FFXI (On DVD) and ToAU (Also on DVD) for 2 for £25 ($44.85 USD)

If you ask me, thats a pretty nice bargain =P

Or you can get them seperatly for £15 each (I managed to get ToAU for £9.99 =D)

Now is a great time to pick up the DVD. I know at *gasp* EB Games we sell it for $19.99 now. Most places sell it for $29.99. I picked it up and man I <3 it x.x

*glomps Reya*

..... oh... >.> yeah! DvD!!! or something

A double layer DVD burner is like $50 or less, now. There's no reason not to have one.

Ok, i'll go buy a $50 DVD burner so that i can install a $20 game
