Path 1a. Thank SE for having a brain and making another 3+ servers to help stop the already overpopulated servers from being MORE populated.

I understand S-E needs to expand its market. Thing about this is there'll be new players coming into a very inflated market. I feel sorry for them as that 60 gil Adventurer's coupon isn't going to cover the AH fee..

If they have Microsoft dedicated servers..... good for them, unfair to us. As in..why the heck did I have to start on an already made server and these guys get off easy!? hehe.

Maybe the people from Hades can find a way out..haha..

theres a video going around that is supposedly of the updated graphics it was linked to me and i have it but i dont know where it was linked from. Its so amazingly beautiful I just... I mean... shit. Lets just say it HAS to be a cutscene >.> or something...

Lets just say it puts anything the current xbox can do... its not just some model and texture replacements.

Hmm the article mentioned new HD graphics. If I am able to migrate a character I might would switch just for the updated visuals. I wouldn't be able to just start over though. =/

Yeah new people will play...Newbies start up all the time. I started at PS2, cuz my PC blows, and I never run into PC issues while gaming.
I take the game seriously, treat people with respect, do my homework, etc. Other people that play on PS2 and on PC can be assholes or good people to have around.

Why would new players (that happen to be starting on XBOX) be any different? Yes they'll be new, and there will be a learning curve. They only need to play catch up. There will be those that catch up, and I'm sure we'll be happy to have some more good players around.

I <run away> from newbs that don't know their ass from a hole in the ground now...I'm not looking to hang out with all the new ones that join up at the end of the year. :roll:

Big deal! I'll probably join XBOX then. It'll look better. And unlike most "Mentors", I'll actually bother to help people out, nicely...Not shove my 2 bit, 1/2 true opinion down their throats.

We can frown upon this and whine about it or welcome the new potential crop of good players and new friends.

I think that video was just a technical demo. Same as the FFVII one for the PS3. It's not actual gameplay, but just a demo of what the system is capable of. I could be wrong, though, I'm just making a guess based on what I've seen. Even if the models and textures are a bit more complex, not many upgrades can be made before it's not compatible with the PS2 and PC versions. For example, I don't think they can extend the field of view or else everyone else would be screwed since the Xbox players could see things the PC and PS2 players couldn't.

Exactly Sneak!! New players will pick up the game, all the etiquette and habits from whoever is willing to show them the ropes. If everyone turns their back on them, they will either just do things their own way (right or wrong) OR they will lump themselves with others (the Colbwa's, Roofie's, WSM's... etc.) that no one wants to be associated with. Thus creating more garbage players!

Hmm.. the second vid doesn't look any better than the PC version. I'm sure it will provide better visuals than the PS2, but I was expecting something more a long the lines of the tech demo. Kinda disappointing imho.

There controllers are not too big. :x All the others are tiny and designed for the hands of a 5 year old. I can't even play friends' gamecubes because the controller is so rediculously small. Even the ps2 is too small. I deal with it out of necessity for rpgs, but I can barely hold the thing and not even come close to having a good grip on it. Xbox's and Dreamcast's controllers are the only ones I have ever been able to comfortably hold. :?
