New gilfarmer on Quetz

and his name is Beiro.

All he seems to do is farm...

He does speak some English, but I bet he's a gilfarmer :evil:

anyone else seen this guy around?

Gilfarmer or seller? if he just farms gil then.. i think hes trying to get enough for a habergeon

Errr what? I seem to remember exping a lot with Beiro and I think he was on my friendlist for a while. He farmed a lot, but he always seemed like a normal player to me.
 
Well; unlike last time, I am not going to blow up all over this issue.
All I am going to say is, if you really care to see if he is a gilseller or not, monitor him on a daily basis. If he is farming for weeks straight, he may be what you think.
Also, look at what he is camping/farming. Is he camping some super ultra HNM that drops a 1,000,000,000,000 gil drop? Or is he collecting rabbit hides? That also depends on what he is. Gilsellers usually try to get gil ASAP by mining, logging, or HNM camping.

/sigh... already finding mistakes. make that "if he is farming for months or years straight, etc."

This months change may still be inconsistent since real players that I have seen have farmed for entire months or vacations to afford these "Haughberton (sp?)", like Tenkax, whom I believe had a post claiming that he needed to farm like crazy to afford expensive things

I can't believe you people are falling for this. Nalyu and Beiro are friends. Nalyu must be bored or something and decided to start another pointless thread. :roll:
 
I don't think Nalyubuites was being serious, to begin with.
 
I saw some Gil Sellers, they had to be Gil Sellers because they where farming with no equipment on, except for a set of boots and they where farming in a group together. They did this for hours. There names were Sneakypants and Jender. :D

I could be wrong, Nalyubuites may have been serious, but it didn’t come across that way to me.
 
This is my first post... and all I can say is LOL

Beiro you must be makin a killing farmin all that gil.
 
While waiting for our static BLM to return from the army, I quested and farmed into infinum, and anyone whos been here long enough knows Im the Anti-Gil-Seller incarnate. search the forums for the guideline I posted that I use to I.D. a seller. Basic rundown:

1) shitty gear for that lvl: do the math. job lvl'd just high enough to farm there, wearing REALLY shitty gear 10-12 lvls below current lvl.
2) constantly in the same area on the same mobs.

By combining those 2 (#1 more so than #2) factors together 9-10 times its safe to assume that person sells gil. The name of the character sometimes means nothing, for alot of them have random name generator names.

This by no means is concrete in I.D. 'ing a gil seller, but it pays to do the homework before pointing a finger. As for the player mentioned in the topic, I have no idea. Ive seen him in one of the kingdoms, but never out farming yet.
