Does anyone know if there are going to be new armor , weapons and items and such? cause everyone seems all exceited about the zones andnew mobs but I wanna know if there is new items :D

Personally I hope these new area have new NM that all the hardcore farmers just "have to have". That might give me a better shot at getting the drops I want/need. :D

ive heard that there will be Blue Mage(BLU)

I dont think so, I think they would of bragged about it to make all the current played drool if it was true. they didnt even say "who knows we may add a new class" they didnt give us any direct hint to it.

I haven't seen any details yet, but I'd be surprised if there WEREN'T new items, lol. I even think I remember something about how they were having to tweak the AH code so that people who don't have the expansion either can't see or can't buy the new items. However, I don't remember exactly, and my programming knowledge is about the same as a 10 year olds, lol.

Here's what I'm wondering though- with new zones, are they going to add content to the map? As in, new landmasses appearing where only water was before? And what about new Dynamis areas? Think they'll finally release a full AF2 set for each job, instead of just the parts currently availabe from the existing Dynamis spots?

I heard they're going to work on the Avatar Melee damage....*GLEEEEEEE*

I can't remeber the website but a Squre-enix employee was "supposedly" interviewed and stated that there wasn't any plans to add any classes or raise the lvl cap with Chains of Promithia. The reasoning was that they didn't see a need.

If only 3% of their customer base has a lvl 75 character then their really isn't a need.

edit: 3% is a fictiocious number just made up to illistrate a point.

of course there is a need, people would play longer, more jobs, more time, more levels, more time, so if they added more jobs, and levels, they are making more money...

boost the lvl cap would screw it all up. Imagine a lvl 100 whm/rdm he would have convert and refresh. and there are some other tings that would mess it up. and they cant just change it so you get refresh later cause then there will be 500000000 un happy rdms that just got refresh but now have to wait another 40 levels to use it because the exp pack would of boosted its level up. and more jobs whats wrong with the jobs you got now greedy !@$!%! lol I wouldnt minda new job but why hope for something that might now ever happen.

I do hope they add a new class or two. Those are always fun.

I have been playing with ideas for new items that they could and/or should make. The coolest one was more of an impossible happening and more of just a cool thing to think about, not to mention a programming nightmare and a big trouble with copyright infringement.

It would be a set of AF-esque armor called MJOLNIR (yes, the stuff that Master Cheif wears). The plain 5 peice armor set would be nice, with nice stat boosters and DEF and the "back" peice would simply be the black undersuit worn under the MJOLNIR, and it would just have a bunch of +'s to elemental resistances.

The cool stuff would be in the weapons, belt, and earring (can't really think of a ring yet). The weapons would be, of course, the human guns in Halo. You'd have the Pistol with mid-damage and mid-delay. You'd have the Shotgun with high-damage and mid-delay but a - to accuracy. You'd have the Sniper Rifle with a high-damage and a very-high-delay, but a + to accuracy. You could also do the Assault Rifle, but you'd have to make the "Ranged Attack" button able to be held down for the automatic fire and for every 5 rounds or so you'd have to - 1 to accuracy to take recoil into account. These guns would be available to only RNG and the bullets would be dirt cheap.

The belt would be for NIN. I imagined the belt holding the shield that Master Cheif uses in Halo. It would give the NIN a free usage of Utsusemi every 3:00 or something and would get shorter as the NIN levelled more. The idea behind both the weapons and the belt being that they give the NIN and RNG rewards after having gone through so many levels paying for expensive scrolls and arrows and bows.

The earring would also be cool, but it would focus on helping mages. It would simply be "Cortana" and it would give a bonus to MND and INT.

As I said, this will absolutely never happen, but it is fun to think about. Back to your regularly scheduled thread.

Boosting the lvl cap is probably something that will be done eventually. I really dont see why they would keep the lvl cap at 75 permanently. I dont expect it to be raised more than 5 lvls in this expansion pack, if it all.

-Ham

Anesly: What pants?

As to adding new items. Of course! They're adding new areas, and new mobs, therefore there will be more items!

As for the Blue Mage thing...If I hear another person say that it or Dancer will be in a new expansion pack...*Wanders over to the flameboard and lets of a stream of very unladylike obsinities* Get over it -_-. There's enough classes as there is, and nobody plays half of them.

As for the Level Cap Thing. I doubt it. Until ever player has every single job to level 75, there's no need for it.

I want my Colliseum!!!! *sigh* I will keep arguing for an enclosed building for fun PvP fights! But like Daroth said about job classes, why hope for something that's probably not going to happen.

In a recent interview with someone affiliated with COP, there was the question "Are there going to be any new jobs available". The reply was "I cannot comment on that, but its very possible".

I believe that this interview was from Computer Gaming Magazine. Also, the issue of level cap was brought up, and again they were very evasive. But I got the impression that it was not going to be raised in the expansion.

As for new items/equipment, thats most likely true. I cannot see making an expansion with this much hype for just a few new zones, and a new story added.
