New items, some rare/ex info?

I stole the following list off of the Samurai job forums on allakazham for
the purpose of a discussion here. Please take a look at the following
items. If you have any idea how they are obtained, please share. The
rare/ex items are most likely quested, but what are the quests?

I am mostly interested in the samurai body piece for lvl50.
Here is the list:

venerer ring quest starts in rabao... theres a post around her that has that quest... was the post title Saddening Developement??? i dont remember

quest starts in bastok... infront the music shop is a lil girl named brygid...
talk to her and she says ur ugly.... and tells you to wear something....
Robe and bronze Subligar was what she told me (same for everyone im guessing). Go get the equipment... put it on.... then talk to her again.
you get a pair of gloves or something... thats 1st quest
2nd quest you have to wear some pieces of AF armor and talk to her again.... same deal..... she will have you get 2 pieces of equipment again. But beware... this might get expensive. For me she named white cloak and white slacks.... roughly 30k gil. For a smn friend of mine it was about 150k worth of equip. Same deal... be a fashion model for here again.
From there she will talk about some body armors among other things and will let you take your choice BUT you must bring her a subligar.
This is where it gets tough.....
go to Phomiuna Aqueducts in Tavnazian Safehold (yeah if you dont have you're promyvions done... it aint happening)
Kill Fomor Samurai for some kinda subligar (the one im after is gemini subligar for THF and is dropped off of Fomor Thief obviously).
Get the drop... common drop rate.... and trade it to Brygid.
Congratulations.... you got your body armor^^

Sounds easy... but its not.... ive been searching for DAYS UPON DAYS to get a party to go down there.... but not many NA have the promyvions all complete.... and getting JP to help isnt easy either.

quest starts in Oldton Movalpolos... from this one goblin with a name that starts with a K.
He will send you to davoi to kill orc footsoldiers and bring back a rare/ex item.
He will send you to Castle Oztroja to talk to an NPC yagudo.
Then he will send you to Beadeaux where you will have to fight 4 NM quadavs (ended up being 9 when i did it cause of links.... and i began with around 400mp.... took 10mins to kill the first 2 so i just manafont and ga'd them)
He will reward you with the mantle after that 3rd quest.

 

[Marajade]

for the second brygad quest, she can ask for almost any lvl 60 and under body and leg armor your job can wear. i know someone who got asked for a scorpion harness.

THEN I can go try it out. I have the artifact katana for samurai but nothing
else. If I need another piece then I need to be 52 and higher. I'm only
46 now. HEY, if that's the case then why is the quested item for a level 50?

thats a damned good question....

I activated the quest wearing blm AF though... not theif.....
dont need to be the same job as the reward you seek.

I saw a level 50 THF body pc yesterday......all i can remember was Haste 4% *drools*

That would complete your THF on crack experiment Phraust..

I've been keeping a ring-binder with all sorts of ffxi-related docs. It
is seperated by catagories: crafting, equipment per jobs, renkai chart,
maps, quests i am focusing on etc.
this will go into that and be removed when I complete the quests.

^^that ringbinder thing sound completely nerdy and stupid but it's been
VERY helpful. I used to use a windower so I can access allakazham for
information in-game but alas SE won't let us anymore. the new patch
killed that.
