****New Job: Scholar****

If i level scholar one day, and have that skirt as af... i'm not gonna wear those gear in front of any male taru around!

btw, i hope this is another female onry job!

Wow, I'm definitely lvling Scholar. I wish my character was Hume Female though, I could look wicked cute in my skirt and glasses!

Anyways, this expansion is looking more amazing everytime they update. 3rd job, new tank, mebee?

Sup Xali.

Guess what? O shi-

Also, some people say that the change isn't an increase in current macro lines, but actually macros, as the current is 200. But that the change is that every job will have 10 separate macro pallets. Thus, 4000/200 = 20, assuming one of each job, 20 jobs total, giving the current 18 + scholar + dancer.

200 separate macros for each job would be somewhat useless though, so I hope that's not the case. I'd much rather get an increase from 1200 > 4000 lines. 20 lines per macro, instead of the current 6.

I have no problems with the current amount of macros it's the fucking stupid 6 line bollocks that pisses me off.

lol at the male dancer.
Scholar's AF looks retarded, imo.

Also didn't they say their windowed mode would be ready with the new expansion? I'm guessing it's not ready by the looks of things.

Maybe keeping it under wraps for now? They are having to upgrade the entire system for this, I think its a leap from DirectX6 to DirectX9.

Also*
It makes sense not to have an AH in the past. I was half-expecting it to be unlocked like CoP (maybe npcs figure out how to use the maw things later in the storyline, idk), but it wouldn't make sense to have it available at the start. At least this'll keep the crowding in the new main town area slightly lower.

That's why I also said this:

As in, I hope their speculations are wrong.

PS2 limitations?

<.<;

Yeah you added that 4 minutes after I posted. Good one there Uzor.
I started editing it right after I posted :P didn't check the time of your post, so HAH!

personally I think we should force all PS2'ers to buy a 60gig+ PlayStation 3 and plan on that for now on. That is, unless they wish to buy a Xbox360 or a PC and play on that instead.

FFXI could be so much better if they just gave up on the PS2'ers =/

Yo.
Doesn't the game run on DirectX 8?

I'm gonna check on the main site.

Edit:

Ok it seems it runs on DirectX8.1 for the sound... wtf someone explain this. Isn't DirectX for graphics instead of sound?

If you can use White/Black Grimoire, as well as Light/Thunder/Ice Weather spells/abilities at 37, Scholar better get something pretty damn impressive at higher levels. Otherwise they won't get past 40 =/
