What we need is more players willing to play tank jobs. If we get a new tank job and the only people willing to play said tank job to higher levels are those who like to play tank jobs now, all you did was lose a Pld or Nin for 75 levels.

Not saying that people who mainly play DD/Mage/Support jobs won't play them, just that adding a new tank probably won't take off the strain that tank slots have now.
 
I predict this to be Gypsy.

I for some reason am predicting Chemist to be one of the three. Third one is truly hard to say. I don't think Time Mage is going to be in that mix though.

What we need is people to understand that there are 2 natural tank jobs out there, and one tank job that kind of bloomed from its original intent.

PLD, WAR and NIN.

SAM can also tank to an extent, as can MNK, although these two jobs were considered to be more along the lines of 'secondary tanks.' One of the reasons SAMs AF has enmity, and their abilities also reflect defending themselves

What you don't realize or are choosing not to mention is that SE also thought that no one would be exping on anything higher than Tough's. Versus T max mobs, yes, war, mnk, and sam will do just fine. Anything higher than that though and their effectiveness falls off pretty fast.

Based on chaining T's it's easy to see how they also intended every job to be meleeing as well. B- weapon ranking will do just fine against T's. They also never intended for bst to be a solo job and the more I think about it the more I am convinced they didn't have a clue as to what the outcome would be of creating nin. "Let's make a pulling/debuffing/toned down mnk with the best defensive spell in the game and see where it goes from there." The point is SE's original intentions on how this game is going to be played are usually nothing like how it's actually played once the playerbase gets hold of it.
 
Someone before mentioned Dancers or whatever using throwing daggers. Mayhap SE will finally put in a throwing WS? That could be the unidentified WS seen on the video. Could also be a job specific WS, but the throwing thing isnt a bad idea.

The reason 99% of the war's suck at tanking is because they dont gear for it

Warrior can Utsusemi: Ichi tank flawlessly with a BRD and RDM when Elegy and Slow are stacked.
 
Am I really the only one who thinks that that gear looks f**king horrible? Man, if that's really the AF, and it's really Dancer, I'll be even more disappointed than when I heard about PUP.

C'mon, Squeenix! I know you're pulling at straws for new jobs, but this?
