Since my girlfriend Angelina is pregnant, they hosted a model competition to see who could replace her as the new Lara Croft.

On a serious note, this one actually looks like Laura Croft, she doesn't just have big boobs like Angelina Jolie, ( not to mention the lips with ass fat in them) so all should go well if she can actually act a little bit. From what I've heard, she'll just be doing commercials, advertisements, and other small stuff.

I must say, this new one is a little... misshapen. She seems to have some extra meat in some places, though it could very well be the camera angle and lack of airbrushing that Angelina commonly receives. Judging by the size of the new Lara's rack though, I think she'll do a fine job of standing at Eidos' booths at various video game conventions, providing something for the geeks to ogle whilst Eidos brainwashes them and makes them think their games are actually worth playing.

edit: I'm quite surprised that, out of ~3,000 entries, this chick was the hottest. Don't get me wrong, she's definitely on the hit list... maybe they were just looking for the biggest rack of the group? I mean, you'd think that a national Lara Croft model search would turn up some 11 or 12s, rather than this meager 9 up thurrr.

Nice body, not impressed... they shoulda made the movie wait. Angelina Jolie is the perfect Lara. Her accent, her body, her eyes, ... everything. She owned that role and made a good movie amazing.

Is Karima even planned for movies? I thought she was strictly the "official" Lara, ordered around by Eidos and their affiliates.

Angelina was the "Hollywood" Lara, and as far as I know, they're still planning to cast Jolie in the next TR movie.

SCI, the computer games company that owns Lara Croft, along with her Tomb Raider franchise, is in talks with Paramount Pictures over licensing the property for a third Hollywood movie, according to www.thebusinessonline.com.

The previous two movies have grossed more than $450m (£262m, E383m) at the box office and are based on the video game of the same name. Sources in Hollywood say negotiations have started between Paramount and SCI - who acquired rival British publisher Eidos earlier this year - for the latest movie.

Angelina Jolie has once again expressed an interest in starring as Lara Croft despite previously dismissing a third picture following domestic indifference to Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life. Chris Barrie has also registered his support to resume his role as Lara's fumbling butler Hilary.

SCI Entertainment Group is likely to negotiate a tougher deal for its property under chief executive Jane Cavanagh, who is one of Britain's most successful female executives. Eidos reportedly collected only $1 million from Paramount Pictures prior to production of Lara Croft Tomb Raider.

That quote was posted on some TR fansite on November 25th. Can't remember when AJ was prego, but she must have been at least halfway through when she made that comment.

Then mebbe they are gearing up the publicity witht he model til Angelina has the baby, and then doin' the movie? Or, mebbe the model is gonna be the stunt double and they are starting the movie waiting for her to deliver the baby and then she'll go in and shoot the acting parts? Don' know, just tossin' some stuff around. I just honestly do not think you can replace her as Laura Croft. Imho, that'd be like trying to replace Johnny Depp in Pirates.
