New Pee Wee Herman movies and show

well my daughter who is one and a half LOVES the original pee wee's playhouse, since it came on adultswim we had to buy her a dvd set...to which she only ever wants to watch that.
Which i think is awesome cause i grew up with pee wee, and the adult inuendos i never noticed as a kid are funny as hell.

So one day i was bored and looked up alot of info on the actors and actresses from the show to see where their careers took them after that show.
Its amazing how many stars came out of that show, laurence fishburn being the biggest with being morpheus in the matrix, But Phil hartman, Goldberg from the mighty ducks was in the playhouse gang, The little girl who played opal became the hott daughter on grounded for life.
And Lil punkin from the second playhouse gang became well known as "Curly Sue".
Then i found that two new movies are coming out next year.

One will be based on the playhouse,
The other will be a "Darker" pee wee story (i have my fingers crossed that its the hilarious scenario me and a friend came up with where pee wee snaps and kills everyone in the playhouse in individual funny ways...oh please oh please!!)

i find that interview funny because the part where they asked what he would change, when he said the helmet i laughed...cause on the first episode i saw with that helmet when my kid was watchin it i thought "Why doesnt he buckle that thing?" XD

my wife mentioned something to me earlier about the actualy pee wee's play house being remade coming to tv in the future, i havent seen any info on this.

But adult swim has a knack for bringin shows back dont they?
Family Guy, Futurama, Saved by the bell, Pee Wee's Playhouse have all been picked up to have new seasons made after airing on adult swim....awesome. I would like to request now that they bring back thundercats!!!

Maybe I'm missing some sarcasm or something, but you do know the Saved By The Bell thing was a joke the Adult Swim crew played on their audience, right?

As for Pee-Wee, I always liked him and watched him on cable with my stepdad before he ever got into movies or Saturday mornings, back when the character was far more "adult" themed.

It's kind of strange, really. A lot of people have their careers ruined when they commit to things like he did. Like that woman on a PBS or whatever kids show was canned cause they found out she did a porno or something years before the show aired. But here's Pee-Wee, coming back years after getting busted for indecency. It'll be nice to see how it plays out for him, if he can break the curse that follows peoples past actions in that business. Much like Eddie Murphy, or Tim Allen.

I liked Pee-Wee's Big Adventure when I was a kid, I might just have to check out both movies, just for nostalgia.

Yeah, they got so much shit from some people for showing old episodes of the show that they thought they might as well fuck with them more by saying they were going to bring it back to life. The whole thing was fake.

Wow. He is actually gonna come out with those movies. :-D
I also grew up with Pee-Wee on CBS, and watch it sometimes on Adult Swim.

Something about the show just cracks me up.
Its just plain silly, and entertaining at the same time. :-D

I'm amazed how Paul Reuben looks like now.
You can see the Pee-Wee in him still, but he has aged though.

They will need to do tons of facial work with make up if he wants to look like the younger Pee-Wee. Either way, this should be something to look forward to. Especially for people who grew up with him, and the newer generation getting exposed.
