New Players' Collection Piece (lol)

What a piece of shit. You can probably get that made at Kings Dominion for 8 bucks yourself anyway.

Aside on how I feel about the whole dog tag issue.....

For that much, those tags better do a little dance, sing and do stand up comedy

Damn is that thing made out of pure platinum? Has to be to cost that much o_O

This is sooo not worth it, unless they have some kind of cool ingame item to come with it then we'll talk, but a silver dog tag with nation logo + your name for $107? No thanks

12k Gold Dog tag? Sure
Silver Dog tag? No

Stine says to me last night:

"So they choose to take one of the crappiest quest items ingame and turn it into an overpriced necklace. Nice."

Took me a minute to remember which quest item it was o.o;;

No, a 12k gold dog tag is not worth 107.00. No, this shitty trinket with an included in-game item is not worth $107.00.

The mini-expansions cost $10.00 apiece, you get a customizable piece of gear and the BS missions. This is $107.00 dollars for a piece of jewelry that makes you explain "No, I wasn't in the armed forces. This dog tag is fake."

I also heard the dog tag is of your home nation logo and one of three universal names for everyone that buys it..... "Dipshit of Bastok, Dipshit of Windy, etc...."

I like how they say its made of silver. They said that about the San d'Oria ring as well, and it made my friends finger go blue.

Someone who can speak Japanese should translate all this and send it to SE. :D

Falling on deaf ears, dude. SquareEnix's Marketing Division is many things, but stupid isn't one of them. Inevitably, there is *someone* out there that will think that this is a good idea to buy, and will buy it.

Ya if I made like 500k a year I would buy one because I have more money than what I know what to do with. Sadly I make 30k a year so ummm no.

I'm surprised no one has said..
"Why spend $107? Don't these drop off the undead hounds outside Bastok?"

I still don't remember..

I'm buying 3, one for each nation. And I'm wearing them everywhere I go, including my grave.

Someone on bg checked on prices for engraved silver and it turns out the price is actually decent for silver(+ the engraving in the picture "certifies" the grade of silver/etc) so technically this is a decent price for a silver tag. That being said if i had 107 dollars to spend I'd buy something else. Preferably something that would get me laid.

way way way overpriced only way they get people to buy these are to give people a ingame airship.

or to be a insane final fantasy collector.

It would have to be an airship with guns... that fire moogles.

This made me laugh for quite a bit. Which is impressive considering i'm still at work and dead tired.

But on a totally different note. I seriously considered buying this for a few minutes. Sure its over priced, but so was PS3, and sure you'll look like a friggin nerd, but then again, you dont get women by playing the PS3 (some exceptions apply). Having said that I'm sure all of us have spent a little too much money on something, be it a rare coin (Bjornar), or a comic(Myself), or a hooker(Celvantes on his away "missions"), that we knew just wasn't worth the price tag. But we sure did want it, and we got it.

I'd buy it if i wasn't in the hole. I'd never wear it but, my Shadow lord statue sure would ;)
