'New posts' link

[RoM]

Not sure if it's part of the board update or not but the 'new posts' link does not work like it used to at all. When you've made a post your post as well as the thread it was made to does not bump up the list for easy access, as far as i can tell it drops off the list all but entirely and the 'new posts' list does not update or refresh during a login session at all no matter how hard you click the link and cuss at it.

I noticed this today when I logged in to. It's marked all posts as new.

Yup, i'm having the same problem. Anything that I post in, no longer shows up in the list of topics when I click on "New Posts" where as before it use to.

I'm not sure if this is "suppose" to be the way it is, but I preferred being able to click on new posts and see all topics that have been posted in recently, including mine, where my response was the last one in case I needed to quickly check something I wrote.

happened to me when i first came back after the "touch ups"

This may not be related to the upgrade -- I changed the way new posts are tracked from using cookies to using the database (which improves somethings).

If someone posts after you do, the posts should show up when do a new post search.

I would suggest you go to your usercp, click on Edit Options and change the "Default Thread Subscription Mode" to No Email Notification.

You will be able to see all the future threads you've posted in from the usercp, or if you go to Quick Links at the top of the page and click on subscribed threads.
