i get to sandy and go to choc stable to get a bird and the lady asks me to deliver a choc to bastok that lost its way. wth anyone know of this?

It probably is. Either once a day, or once a week.

It isn't part of the event. The Chocobo Return and Beastmen hats were active before the event started.

I've been trying to do this quest again for a few days now.
It's definately not once a day.

I also talked to Dua (saw that he posted here about it originally and asked him about it quickly) and he said that he can't figure out how to do this a second time.

It hasn't been a week yet, waiting to try to confirm that.

If you want times for various prizes (like under 20 minutes and 7 seconds from Bastok to Sandy = Dragon Chronicles), MysteryTour has some.

Oh yeah, and the 4th item is a Miratete's Memoirs.

There are 5 rewards, You can get an instant warp item [seal or something] to the nation you left. I did the Windurst to Jeuno one, and got that. I do beleive this was the reward for the old summer event wasn't it? Glad to know they made it a more common item.

I remember that the chocobo stabels wanted me to take one from Windy to Bastock... BASTOCK! Obviously i never made it in time since the damn bird left me in the Gustaberg zone in Konshtat

I need to figure out shortcuts. I did bastok to jeuno, and I got a gyshal green... Not exactly worth the time to get to jeuno >.<

Same happened to me, I just dug with my next chocobo, found a pebble >_<. All in all, not worth it just for a tiny rock.
