I wish my holes were filled with issues... o.O

You left the boards for good once, and didn't even have an ongoing flame fest that drew you back. I seem to remember you leaving in a very loud and obnoxious way as well.

I have no problem with you calling me a whore. And I take issue with people like you. If this was the flameboard I would tell you exactly what I think, I'm sure you will give me the chance sooner or later.

When I left, I still said I would use both sites. lol
Obviously QCNN is no longer up now that Sculli is gone and not trying to control everyone.

Also, that was an issue that many people were dealing with. In this case, you're acting like a little shit, people called you on it and then you act like a littler shit. All you.

FYI: There's a big difference in the 2 cases.

No further explanations of your actions are needed. You've proven beyond a shadow of a doubt anything I need to know about you. You got yourself into this one, and you still have the choice to get yourself out. But what do you care, right?

When I left, I still said I would use both sites.

Nevermind. I missed this part =/

I left with the intentions of never coming back. QCDN was teh suck at that time. I like it a lot better now.

Under the above rule, I would have been banned. I doubt many of you would have missed me. :P

Oh you mean people like MARAJADE and Sneakypants?

I dont even get how i fit into that quote at all

And for the love of GOD stop quoting under the post. Seriously, its retarded, and more work to be less clear.

Ya that's kinda the problem with QCDN. People make new threads to talk about something that's going on in another thread.
Which normally is frowned upon, unless the thread is in a situation like this one: OP posts a question, flamebait starts, argument ensues. That`s when it should be dismantled so the on-topic constructive comments can continue in the original forum while the arguments take place on the flameboard.

The OP made this a flame anyways even though he acts as if it's some rule he thinks should be implemented for no particular reason.
The OP made a suggestion and included a public poll. I don`t agree with the suggestion, in fact I voted against it - but it`s hardly a flame of any degree.

I`m not referring specifically to the content of your post. You had legitimate points just as he did, but your first post was (to me, and others who reported it) flamebait. All I ask is you refrain from such, as per the guidelines (link):

Flaming - Whether the Flame Board comes back or not remains to be seen but outside of the Flame Board, its deffinitely not okay to go around trolling members and harassing them.
Granted, that is a somewhat gray definition. Hence my request to refrain, rather than moving posts myself.

By the way why are you flame baiting me? I was only expressing my opinion anyways which is what the point of the thread was, to express your opinion. Why would I make a new thread to do that?
I`m asking for co-operation in following the rules. If I were flame baiting I would likely reword this entire post so that my second sentence was:

Your fucking dumb.
I will post no more on this specific matter, if you wish to continue this discussion please send me a PM so we can let the topic continue on it`s course.

IBTL.

In a perfect world. ;)

On a more serious note; jesus christ just call it what it fucking is. It's just as easy to submit the idea without making too much of a show about it. PMs work real well i'd say. Pushing the poll issue and making a popularity contest out of it while putting forth a thin veil of 'i had the community's best interest in mind' is bullshit. Any way you cut how this was gone about was wrong, at the very least in poor taste.

Skaw is many things, stupid is not one of them. There's no way this rule gets taken seriously regardless of how it's presented or who/how many people vote for it. If for no other reason than it damages possible traffic. Don't get me wrong, i do not sympathize. I do, however, find this to be insult to injury which has a proper place, this isn't it.

Oh and cmdr, if you're going to give blancho a public warning you really should've brought enough for the whole class.

Total derail here but Skaw.
1. Your avatar is so ugly it's annoying. And
2. Why is he so hairy and yet he has shaved arm pits?

Total derail here but Blancho:
1) Your a retard

Love Sharpe

I voted "nay." I've publicly stated my hatred of Chinese food in the past. It doesn't mean I didn't later come to love General Tso's Chicken. I don't see this "I'm out of here! No, I'm back because I'm an attention whore!" thing as a problem at the moment just because one person has done it in the past few months.

If you suddenly get a slew of copycats, then I could see it. For now, it seems like you're trying to use a bazooka to kill one fly because of the particular fly in question.

I'd hafto vote no as well...I think. I could see the reasoning behind such a rule, and it could be a very good rule, but only if this were a recurring problem. =/ And no, Skaw's poll isn't a flame, nor flamebait, though what it's based on is pretty easy to spot.

If someone's gonna get mad about something and play the quit card and return, so be it...only thing really hurt is their pride. But a lot of people do wind up leaving just because they need a break - maybe they went to WoW and felt they shouldn't post here anymore because they don't play, for example, but wind up coming back. In that case, a ban seems like it'd be rather unfair.

Also hate to say, but the most important thing in my opinion - until bans become IP-based, they're generally useless anyhow since the people that menace the forums and get banned can just new-account and continue racketeering anyhow.

I'm relatively torn on which I'd choose. This is a good rule but banning as of now is rather ineffective, plus in some situations it's very unjust. One could say "just do it to the ones who constantly quit" but then wouldn't that just fall under a different bannable offense anyhow?

*edit* Lil' off-topic, but to answer Blancho...yeah, this thread is him wanting attention. Every thread someone posts is them wanting attention because they have something to share with the rest of the board. =P

'Kay, done being a smartass.

bans can be ip based. there are just ways around it for people to use dhcp/dynamic ips to get new ip addresses/ranges, and we cant ban possible valid people.

so, yeah, anyways we ban on names because of the ip address issues.

I vote no for my future reading pleasure.

Could amend it to say that they get banned for a month or some small but significant amount of time, then they have time to cool off over whatever reason they threw a fit and decided to leave.

Though Arctyrael may have a point...

I would vote yes for something like this.

flamebaiting outside of Pandora`s Box.

Who is this Pandora and why should we be putting our flame baits in her box?

Oh and I don't think Skaw is talking about people quitting the game and making goodbye threads to announce their leave being banned - I think he's talking more about people who specifically quit QCDN.

Now, the only ones who are going to vote "no" are those with balls big enough to go against the flow.
*flexes*

I want to believe this is an honest, neutral suggestion but I just can't, moreso seeing how this almost derailed in a flame thread already. Maybe you should have waited before proposing it.

Meh

Ok, I get the whole attention-harlot angle and can completely comprehend it's excruciating annoyingness...

But, as has already been pointed out, the whole banning issue seems a bit extreme. It's too much effort for something so trivial. If these "hypothetical" people who cause drama when they leave eventually return then it is on their heads for not having the will to stick to their convictions (and you may freely remind them, Skaw). Banning them merely shows you care too much.

If anything people should get a week ban or something for necroing old threads. Theres no point to bring back a thread to say something stupid.

I agree with this. People who say they're going to 'quit' QCDN don't really have a place here. Just like Skaw said, they come back for more attention whoring. If they posted that they quit FFXI, that's a different story. Plenty to do around here even after you quit the game. We have a WoW section & off-line games section. Yadda yadda yadda.

Anyway, I voted yes.

Since this "poll" is obviously about me I will explain something, because some of you... well.. just aren't going to quit. That's okay, I love you anyways, I'm just not going to fight anymore.

I left qcdn because a moderator broke the rules he was supposed to be enforcing. He is no longer a mod and thus can no longer flame bait as a mod, he also apologized to me privately and asked me not to leave qcdn. I think he regrets doing that now, because hating me is so in fashion. I do regret that.

I'm sure that lots of you will be angered by my attempt to garner attention in this oh so high content poll, but like I said, I am who I am. I'm not going to judge you for being the way your are. Have fun.
