Has anyone seen some of the new Smn gear from the WoTG BCs?

They seem really good. Well, the feet I'd only use if Prep- wasn't an issue(<3 my AF+1). The Ring seems pretty good for soloing. Whether it be kiting or just BP killing something. Mp is a little lacking but I think the +2 Enm can be really helpful.

too bad they put the attack and defense bonus in the wrong spot :/ i already have smn feet it'd be better put on a spot where smn doesn't have any spots to help avatars like waist, neck, earrings

the ring could be potentially useful definitely though, i'll consider the ring but the feet once again you'd have to give up your perpetuation slot if you have the +1 evoker feet from limbus for defense also assuming you don't have smn feet...so no

Pretty much what khidar said is right. I wouldnt want either of those because im fine with what i have in those 2 slots. Little helpful but not enough for the -inventory.

I really see as much use for these as I see for the Evoker's boots. (The level 71 smn boots From the CC KSNM)
Aka. /toss.
As far as the attack bonus goes, someone needs to do a lot of testing to prove these are better then my AFv2 feet.
Even then, as our Blood pacts are extremely random even at 100% accuracy noone will ever be able to give us consecutive data on the difference between these and the Summoner's Pigaches unless they can prove these boots consistently break 1k damage on mobs higher then level 85.

I'm a bit so-so about this one, but that's also due to my personal gearchoice.
The only use I see for this ring is soloing really, and even then that slot is taken by a ring that grants me -3 enmity already, my Tamas Ring.
Which also gives me more MP, aside from that the usual stuff I solo dies with one or two avatar resummons so enmity never has been a big problem for me.
Also from the stuff I usually solo I won't die in one or two hits so the avatar takes it off me easily, especially counting in the enmity decay from taking damage from one or two hits.
Aside from that, even on bigger solos which take longer like VT and IT+ mobs and NMs like Aquarius I never really had any enmity issues either.

However for people that chose the Raja's/Satva's or haven't finished CoP yet this is a nice ring, but once again only for soloing situations.

can't agree completely for the determining damage part using a single hit ws against level 0 mobs and equip swapping can determine results

it'd also be strange for something that gives attack bonus to be different in amount from summoner pigaches as well but SE isn't really someone to be considered consistent with gear effects or at least explaining them

Even a lvl 0 mob won't give you the desired results as the maximum inflictable damage on those has already been capped.
To truly test pacts you need to take a lot into consideration, and some of these conditions simply cannot be taken into that consideration because we just don't know.
Best would be on mobs that con between even match and low end tough (Even match would be best) but even on those our BP damage is too random.

One example is that I solo Sprinklers in Ru'Ann Gardens which con Decent challenge to low end tough to 75.
The Blood pact I use against those is Mountain buster, the damage there on those differs from 800 up to 2.2k damage spikes, Critical hits included.
Soo those taken out all I can say is that the normal Mountain buster does between 800 and 1.2k normal damage regardless of it being a decent challenge or even match pot.
This is a 400 damage difference on a one hitter, which has absolutely no TP or stats modifiers apart from it being Blunt/Impact damage (To which pots take extra damage) which is an amount to what I can say this makes it impossible to get anything in any form of a solid conclusion from.

My choice to put Mountain buster as one example is because it's a one hit Blood pact which is either hit or miss where the multi hitters like predator claws depend too much on the number of hits connecting to give any consistency.

Specific gear macro'd for physical Blood Pacts:

Evoker's horn +1 (accuracy)
Summoner's Doublet (+3% critical hit rate)
Summoner's Bracers +1 (Accuracy)
Summoner's Pigaches (Attack)
Oracle's Braconi (accuracy)
Sacrifice Torque (Attack)

Merits:
5/5 Physical accuracy and attack
8/8 summoning magic skill
all tier II unlocked still deciding which to max.

well you could use weaker abilities like axe kick, shock strike, etc.

or spinning dive(higher but it's piercing

Eeeeh no!

Spinning Dive is slashing damage actually.
Tested and proven on Jailer of Temperance.

the only piercing pacts we have are Crescent Fang and Poison nails.

Aside from that, my point being.
Our avatar's Blood pact damage regardless of it being a multi hit lvl 70+ or single hit lvl 1 pact differs is too random.
Another example is I can safely guess my Predator Claws avarage 550 damage on a mob like Tiamat because on normal conditions I get 480 to 660 damage with occasional 900 to 1100 damage spikes.
But even that is far too inconsistent to tie any conclusions to it because to really make a diff I'd have to test different gearsetups and merits over about 50 to 100 CoP Wyrms.
If I truly wanted to parse this I would also have to include TP return after every BP along with the damage dealt to the mob to rule out misses, critical damage and get a good estemate on avarage damage per landed hit.
To get anything looking even remotely like consistent numbers would take a parse of hundreds times the same blood pact taken with different gear setups filtering out the misses and critical damage (if you can recognize what is a critical hit from a Blood pact).

I haven't parsed anything, just to make that clear.
I'm basing my claims on what I have seen with the naked eye having killed hundreds of those pots over the years in Ru'Ann gardens and about 20 CoP Wyrm fights all together.
And that just as some examples.

my fault there I thought spinning dive was piercing and predator claws was slashing

I wasn't trying to attack you i thought using the lower bps would make it easier to parse and eyeball the results since damage increase is smaller and easier to notice. The mobs in question don't really seem to be good test mobs since they have resistances there are plenty of mobs around that level to test on.

have you noticed a signifigant acc boost over using evoker spats as well? thought they'd win out over those braconi.

Don't worry about that, youy're not the only one that thought that.
Predator claws is indeed slashing though.
Claw (Garuda's lvl 1 pact) is piercing so you can put that in the list if you wish. :)

I know you weren't, in fact I thank you for bringing this up to discussion.
I would be lying if I said I don't enjoy summoner debates.
And the lower level pacts are just as random as the higher ones, just with smaller differences because they do less damage.

The mobs in question don't really seem to be good test mobs since they have resistances there are plenty of mobs around that level to test on.

In fact as far as soloables go, pots might be close to the best thing for now.
On Ghrah in sea I use Garuda and I use Ifrit on the Goldfish.
Both have multi-hit Blood pacts so are harder to 'parse' on damage and consistency as you'll constantly have to monitor pet tp return to see if all hits connected.
Even though pots have the damage modifier for blunt damage aside from skeletons I used to astralburn in KRT parties Pre-TOAU it's the only mobtype I solo using a single hitter and there's nothing better to test with then a single hitter as it's hit or miss.

Stupidly enough (coming back to consistency) I have.
Also there have been several debates on the many summoner forums I used to frequent that evoker's spats and summoner's bracers accuracy doesn't stack.
I always believed they did though, however until today I never found proof to support either belief.

Actually, to get an idea of the attack boost, I don't think you need consistant dmg, just a consistant average, or at the very least, a consistant absolute low and absolute high. If you absolute low happens to be 800, and with these equipped, you never go below 830 dmg, for example, then you can get an idea of what the attack boost is at (I'm thinking finding the high and low might be the best way to test BPs since the average seems to vary so much). Just a thought though, not sure if even with a big attack boost, that you could possibly still hit 800 as a low in that scenario.

Perhaps, but even that constant avarage is yet to be found.
Perhaps I haven't been paying enough attention to find it.

I'll give it a try soon again as I am planning to go on a soloing spree soon anyway.
Just forgive me if I hand parse this as I will only really be looking at blood pact damage.
Also the results might be a while because only 10 blood pacts won't give anything close to an indication.
I'd like to get closer to a few hundred.
