I found that really easy on hard O.o got ALL the achievements too :D

Yeah, I dropped it and came back to it after unlocking more units. Trying to take it on with just Marines, Firebats, Marauders, Medics, and Diamondbacks was impossible. They really shouldn't even offer that mission so early.

I completed the campaign yesterday morning, campaign was awesome. A quick tip, though:

Spoiler:

On "Media Blitz", kill the Science Building to the SE, or you won't be able to get 100% completion. It opens up an awesome secret mission. You won't be able to open up this mission in the final missions once you leave the ship, so get it done before you leave the ship.

Additionally, when given the choice whether or not you want to kill the Nydus Network or Sky Platform, choose sky platform... You'll get absolutely overwhelmed by brood lords and mutalisks in the final mission otherwise. Ground units are much easier to deal with.

If anyone's playing on an EU server, my username is "Demonsteel", add me if you want. I'm not very good, so if someone's playing on an EU server and want to teach me some, I'd be grateful :3 I got placed in Silver League after initial placement matches, and I'm getting ass whooped :(
thanx for the tip off. just finished the campign this morning. that ending credits song cracks me up. :P
Spoiler:
and i thought i blew up all the buildings on that mission. :)

as for multiplayer ha i'll likely get my ass wooped too. i haven't touched it yet but i will soon as i get me some buddies.

Everyone is finishing the game so fast :O! I hope I am not almost done T_T It is soooo good I don't want it to end!

go ahead and finish the FIRST story reya. trust me, this one ain't the end of this. :)

Oh goodie! There is more! :)

The story is so great this time around. Even if the game really sucked, I would still play it to see what happens next!

I built a ton of marine, marauders, medics, and diamondbacks and that was it I think. The MMM combo never dies and takes on the units while my 15 or so diamondbacks pwnd the trains :D tanks didn't get set up fast enough to seige mode my stuff down. I'm very aggressive in this game and it pays off :3

I think I only have like 7 missions left :O I want to finish it fast so I can see the entire story before I'm gone for a week to see my mom in Colorado.

go ahead and finish the FIRST story reya. trust me, this one ain't the end of this. :)

Last I knew this is the full story for SC2 and Zerg and Protoss will be basically their perspective of what's going on during the same time. Also, I hear Zerg is an action adventure style game and Protoss is some other. But I don't know how true that is

I also remember reading somewhere that Blizzard is going to price the expansions much less than Wings of Liberty. I am guessing it is going to be in the $30-$40 range.

That will be neat if each plays as a different style. As much as I hated the heroes in WC3, I really enjoyed the hero missions for the Protoss in SC2. Seems like there is a good balance this time around like SC1. Hero units that level up and get items are just stupid for RTS games.

I'm not so sure - reason being that Blizzard at one point stated its not really expansions, its separate games which does not require Wings of Liberty to play. Personally I think that would suck though, so I hope they make it expansions. Blizzard might very well decide to go along with their original plan of making them separate games, as that could milk them more cash if they put all games in the same price range...

Either way, I surely hope they put it at normal expansion pricing even if they make it separate games, because I'd hate to pay another $60 for the exact same game with another storyline...

do none of you people pay attention to the endings or have faith in a company that has come through time after time? you're all misinformed on the "different perspective" BS. i know this because of two reasons.
1, It would make absolutely no sense to make a game of that nature. that's a flop waiting to happen. Blizzard is smarter then that. They don't rehash games, they continue them.
Spoiler:
i mean what, you play the Zerg so you can lose on purpose? and the protoss had negligent presence through the whole game.

2. It tells you after you finish the story the name of the next chapter, and a hint of what to expect from it. come on people.
*edit*
btw Reya that cartoon made me lol :)

I really liked the idea of heroes in RTS :( specially for the Warcraft universe. For Starcraft I don't think so, but Warcraft ya :D

They said they'd have it be cheaper than Wings of Liberty but you wouldn't need Wings of Liberty to play them iirc. That was their last "plan" but "plans can change."

http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/StarCraft_II:_Heart_of_the_Swarm - Says here it'll play sorta RPG-ish

http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/Legacy_of_the_Void - this one's up for grabs.

But ya, seems I was misinformed (I was going off the info LONG ago :P) as it claims it'll be picking off where Wings of Liberty left off, that's good, yay! I want it now :( :P

And to be fair, I haven't beaten the game yet, this was just the information that was presented like 1-2 years ago and they said it was the plan and I think most were like "lame!"and I'm glad it'll be continuing the story instead of "another perspective."

All in all, I can't wait.

And ya, that comic was funny Reya :P

dang dude, 1-2 year old info? lol
but i cant see blizzard doing anything that foolish tbh. i probably wouldn't have believed it if i read it back then. i've noticed they have removed several planned abilities for units. the laser battery for BC's and that psi storm like ability the protoss phoenix was supposed to have to name two. which sux cause i was looking forward to that. lol

as for those wiki pages i take that info with a grain of salt. you'll see why soon enough. :)

So, I finished that mission earlier tonight with Nova. Hmm... help her or Tosh... It was a toughie. So I came to the following conclusion: "I waited way too long for Starcraft: Ghost to come out which it never did. She had her chance 6 years ago Blizzard. Bitch, you're playing on my time now. Lets go Tosh."

>_>/)

Well, I'm off to Boston tomorrow morning! Be back on Sunday to finish up the game :) Gotta see what happens to my girl, Kerrigan!

I really hate to say this, but in Multiplayer, the zerg are near unstoppable. I discovered this by accident but: Infested Terrans make you invincible.

You can start building Infestors pretty early on, and they have the ability to spawn an Infested Terran which now shoots an infested Gauss Rifle. The energy cost to spawn these is so low, each Infestor can pop about 7-8 of them. Now if you spend enough resources into building up an army of infestors (A group of about 7-12 of them), you can spawn an absurd amount of Infested Terrans.

Now, Infested Terrans die after a short time. But the damage that a group of them can do being spam spawned off 7+ Infestors is ABSURD. They can bring down a group of Thor and Battlecruisers like nothing. This makes them viable defense options. Let your infestors build up energy, and if you get attacked, just spam spawn Infested Terrans and I assure you, the enemy attack will fail.

Then we come to the attack option. See, infestors can move while burrowed.

...

MOVE WHILE BURROWED.

This means you take your group of infestors, burrow, and charge right on into the enemy base undetected. Granted, if the enemy is smart, they will have enough detectors. But the point i'm making is that you make enough infestors, charge in and start spam spawning Infested Terran, and you will cause such a crazy amount of damage to their base, if not fully destroy it.

Note: Infestors and Infested Terrans are relatively weak on their own. But sweet buttery jeezus, if you have them in Mass, nothing short of a nuke is going to stop you.

Pfft, there's no "OP" race in SC2. ON the contrary with the zerg thing, most think they're too weak. And most say "Terran are so OP!!" It's pretty damn balanced :) specially higher brackets

Edit: VARIOUS AWESOME REVIEWS :D

thanx. i will keep this in mind should i choose to PvP. the zergling rush just got trumped.

I've actually started doing rather well now in silver, now to get better and proceed to gold!

God damnit, blizzards "league decider" put me in Diamond League for 1 v 1 after I won a couple games in Platinum. I honestly haven't played enough games to be in diamond league and probably will continue to lose my way back into platinum where I can actually win.
