Why would they do that? Why would the thought even come up based on the first campaign? We know full well there is a clear and present threat that goes beyond all 3 races. Brood war was a perfect continuation of the first SC game. And since they have already stated what to expect in the following chapter a remake doesn't seem anywhere in the mix to me.

But you could be correct with the flashback idea. and if its 20+ missions long they'll have the time to do it. My intuition says more shadowy characters will come to light in the next expansion. Personally i wanna know what in the hell is the creature in Z's vision motivated by. does he just wanna sit in the dark? lol

It sounds like he has Aizen Syndrome. Wants to be the sole ruler over everything and it doesn't matter who he has to manipulate and destroy to get to that goal.

I could see missions/elements that are before WoL but I imagine most are continuing from WoL, ya. I wonder if we'll see Duran again (I can't remember what happened to him, pretty sure he's not dead). But, man, gonna kinda be a love/hate if it's an RPG-ish game. Love cause, well love continuing the story and love RPG elements, but at the same time Zerg hasn't gotten an RTS mission (at least toss had a few with WoL) and ya... that might upset people (it makes me a little sad, but nothing huge)

Finally got around to doing the official ranked match thingy. It placed me in gold after winning 4/5 as a nuke supporter. (Which, might I add, is fun as HELL). I stopped for the evening. I'll see how it continues to go. Kinda pissed I missed Diamond by one win, by meh. Can't nuke em all all the time.
 
I'm looking for a 2s partner if anyone wants to mess around. PM for my code and stuff.

PS: I play Diamond League 1 v 1 Protoss and mess around in all the other leagues, so if anyone wants to have some fun sometime give me a message :) nothing overly cereal
 
i enjoyed finally getting to play a game with both you and Reya. :)
 
I get to finally head home tomorrow so I can finally play mah SC2 again :D I have achievement whoring to finish up and other fun stuffs!

aww, but I'll make yiou all look bad :D :P and sure, I haven't played online since before the beta went down the first time in June-ish, but after a few practice matches with friends and stuff, I'll be up to snuff. Day9 has taught me well :)

Edit: you know, maybe we should make a "blizzard ID" or something thread :P a choice to add real ID (if you don't mind) or at least the ways in which people can get to you in each Blizzard game (like for now SC2 and WoW and even I'm sure Diablo 2 and War 3 and SC1 are still played and soon (tm) Diablo 3).

When I get home I'll post my SC2 id here :D

Finally got my lazy arse off multiplayer and wrapped up the campaign. Here are my thoughts:

I think that Kerrigan, though human again, will still retain control of the Zerg, or at least her own personal swarm. The whole "Kerrigan must live or the universe it doomed" thing could be that Kerrigan controlled the swarm as an Infested Terran, but has now been un-infested while still retaining control. Meaning that she is no longer subject to Zerg weakness like the Overmind was. This, in turn, prevents the Fallen One from controlling the Zerg to finish off the galaxy.

On a note for the final scene, I was honestly expecting a blade or bone wing or something to impale Raynor as he was carrying her away. One of those "Hahahaha, you've freed me from <insert Xel'Naga mind control> and now I am truly free to rule as I please" kind of deals. I'm happy with the ending. Just saying this was in the back of my head.

I'm guessing the Zerg storyline will be from Kerrigan's perspective (it makes the most sense, imo), so my money's on her own personal Zerg swarm, as well. They did say it'll be more of a RPG kind of style, so I'm guessing there will be lots of missions where you only play as Kerrigan and Raynor to infiltrate or something, with a few missions where you play as Zerg and/or Terran against the remaining Hybrid army, as well as Mengsk.

Just thought about this. After Kerrigan got infested, she embarked on a mission to remove the neural inhibitors that blocked off a part of her psionic powers. Well, she's human again and that's great. But those inhibitors are still removed. Meaning this: What kind of epic powers does Human Kerrigan have now?

very interesting. she was able to hold off Zeratule in that CS early in the story so we know she's packin something.
