New Summoning Magic and Quests

Setting up to solve the who where and hows of this immed after update, see event scheduling =p looking for ppl far in CoP storyline, and with 70+ jobs.

a) Black Belt is the hardest rare/ex items to get though :P

b) Carbuncle still costs less MP to have out though, Ifrit/Garuda/Shiva etc. costs a little bit more to have out, and Fenrir costs even more to have out. So Diabolos might very well cost even more.
 
next up is doom train? aleaxander? Odin? Chocomog?? KOTR?? Eden?

As you can see, fenrir only costs more to INITIALLY cast.... all the avatars have same perpetuation rate (3-12) with the only difference being carbuncle, and thats for obvious reasons.

Now what they don't tell you is that Ruinous Omen will do .1% HP damage to any and all NMs. >.>

But on another note... Since Diablos is now a summonable avatar... what are the other items you can choose if you already have Diablos? o.o
 
You may be right Neo, but many fan sites have been wrong :P It still doesn't mean that Diabolos can't cost more to have out, and it was uneccesary to call him a nub for thinking so. so you are tellign me that it's impossible for him to cost more because you know best, even though no one have him yet? :nono:

you can check several sites, i have found the same information on a few different ones.

anyways, its possible for it to cost more. however, whats the likelihood? it has TONS of bps-- more than most, i imagine those will cost alot, not the actual mp perpetuation.

its just stupid for people who dont play summoner or know it well enough, to make guesstimates. thats the problem with the job, people DONT UNDERSTAND IT. that is why there are so many nub summoners out there... and alot of xp parties with them suck, they dont understand how to utilize it.

you cant honestly tell me that you'd guess diabolos would be based off of quests involving rare/ex items, give me a break.
 
No, I don't believe that it will be based on rare/ex items. But his guess is just as right as anyone elses at this moment, which is why I think that calling him a "nub" was extremely uncalled for.

If everyone who disagreed with someone called them a "nub", this would be a very screwed up world

You have a point there Tyrath. Bahamut, being introduced as a BC. Will most likely give xp, gil and items (like the avatar's give after you defeat them the 2nd time). Plus, he will later become the next quested avatar just like Fenrir was BC before, then quested for casting. The design and the programming is already done for him. The only problem i see that developers face before releasing him is:

1. Balancing his abilities.

2. His frikin' size. Imagine 2-6 SMN running around in Dynamis with that beast out... UBER LAG.

That's whats holding Bahamut up i think, IMHO.

And all this still leaves room for Phoenix (Since a summonable Diablos was seen as breaking every damn rule in the book, and yet he's here), Alexander, Odin, and Bahamut. But since Diablos and Fenrir make it very obvious that the new avatars for SMN are gap-fillers... what gaps are left to fill? Think along those lines, and you might figure out what avatar's coming next.

My bet's on Phoenix, and chances are the very last summon they add to the game will be Bahamut, since he is the crown jewel of every other FF game's summon collection, not counting the game-specific summons (like Eden).
 
Heh the funny part is I seen this coming. My Linkshell and I would discuss this all the time cause I'm the only Summoner in it and I always said Diabolos would be next because I had to fight him sevreal times in the CoP story and watching him I realized he just seems to be perfect for the next summon. Of course, people disagreed and said Alexander/Odin would be next. Now I win the arguement! ^^ I'm just happy Summoner does not have to wait for the expansion to have some more fun. The only thing left to find out is how to get him. My bet is on Pso'Xja because that seems to be his little hideout. But only time will tell! ^^

I believe it'll use the FFX's abilities. Along with some of its own.

It's kinda funny on different sites, where all the "there'll never be a new summon; it's impossible. Diabolos is already in the plot, so we'll never summon Diabolos. It's impossible. Yes we have the memory-span of goldfish and will disregard being able to summon Fenrir, because we're closeminded." people went. Not so much on this forum, but on others, where every so often a new summoner would muse on getting new avatars, lately from CoP, and the Closed-Minded-Brigade would come out in full force to silence them. Hopefully, from now on, when someone says "Maybe we'll get new avatar X" people will stop saying "It'll never happen. It's impossible". Fenrir's plot to avatar situation was always conveniently forgotten, and now Diabolos should silence nay-sayers for good.
