In the upcoming version update, synthesis recipes will see some new additions, as well as a few alterations. Changes will also be made to the stack number of certain items. Find more information here.

Synthesis Recipes

The following changes and additions will be made to synthesis recipes and items in the upcoming version update.

-Synthesis
In the previous version update, a special cooking ability was added to the key items available for purchase with guild points. Several new special synthesis skills such as this one are scheduled to make their debut in the February version update, along with all-new synthesis recipes.

Let's take a look at some of the new key items and synthesis goods.

-Key Item
-Concoction
An alchemy skill that allows the creation of solid medicine drops that have the same effects as their liquid equivalents.

Items that can be created through synthesis:

Smithing
- adaman kris

Goldsmithing
- shield plaque

Clothcraft
- Royal Squire's robe +1

-Changes to Synthesis Recipes
Changes will be made to the skills and items required for certain synthesis recipes. Please visit the relevant guild after the version update to find out more.

Affected synthesis recipes:

Clothcraft
- Yasha Sune-Ate
- Field Tunica
- Trader's Saio

Leathercraft
- Raptor Helm
- Wise Gloves
- Seer's Pumps

Cooking
- Dried Marjoram
- Dried Mugwort
- Carbonara
- Bataquiche
- Green Quiche
- Windurst Taco
- Tavnazian Taco

-Changes to Item Stack Numbers
The stack number for items used in the creation of arrows and bolts has been increased from 12 to 99. Several new synthesis recipes will be introduced to allow for greater quantities of these items to be created at one time, however the number created by existing recipes will remain the same.

-Items that will have their stack number increased:
beetle arrowheads/ horn arrowheads/ scorpion arrowheads/ demon arrowheads/ poison arrowheads/ sleep arrowheads/ karimata arrowheads/ fang arrowheads/ armored arrowheads/ gold arrowheads/ platinum arrowheads/ stone arrowheads/ bone arrowheads/ iron arrowheads/ silver arrowheads/ fire arrowheads/ ice arrowheads/ lightning arrowheads/ bronze bolt heads/ mythril bolt heads/ darksteel bolt heads/ blind bolt heads/ acid bolt heads/ holy bolt heads/ venom bolt heads/ bloody bolt heads/ sleep bolt heads/ chocobo fletchings/ Yagudo fletchings

I honestly don't see what the point with solid medicine would be... Although, the increased stack size for arrow synthing items sounds like it could bring down arrow prices quite a lot

Im guessing so that you can stack medicine now. Imagine having 12 Hi-Pots taking up only one invo slot.

yeah, I was hoping that too. Although the desciption sounds more like it would be solid status medicine <.<;

If it's solid Hi Potion etc. so that you can stack it, then that's very cool.

wow, you think maybe SE realized that making ranger weaker (although its not as bad as most people make it) AND making them pay out the ass for arrows isnt quite fair?

Maybe this means you can synthensize that "Adaman Falx" in the model viewer (listed as Unknown great sword) since your going to be able to do a Adaman Kris. I like the look of those types of Great Sword, DRK only and fast swings, decent damage.

I'm not sure it's all that great of a thing for rng. Yes, it does definately have an upside, but the problem comes with aquiring the ingredients. No longer will it be 2 synths then sell the stack of arrowheads/boltheads/fletchings on AH, and unless they dramatically alter the results of the synths, making it 33 per synth NQ, it will be annoying buying ingredients to make your own ammo.

Look at animas for example. NQ synth is 10, they stack to 99. Who wants to buy 99 animas? Who wants to sell 10 animas individually? A stack of 12 would be convenient.

Too bad the rng nerf destroyed xbow, and bows are not my thing, especially with the sweet spot being way the hell out there. They're not doing anything for stackability of firesand and silver ingots, or making bullet boxes, so the whole thing is meaningless to me.

So now the profit margin for arrows is prolly gonna go down and WW's gonna have to make even more of them to make whatever measly profit they were before... here's a fucking idea SE.. give us more auction, mog house and inventory space.

amen to that

I would laugh for a long long time if SE only upped the stack amount so it would match the number of arrows, and therefor require you to craft arrows 1 at a time. I can just imagine the guys in the office laughing about it back in Japan now.
