New ToAU Missions

apparently not, its reported people getting the CS already and have hardly done that many assaults.
if so, im happy with that cause im not gonna take time to do every single assault lol. I just do the ones that are easy and rack up the points!
 
Assault already has its rewards, as well as a seperate storyline. I doubt the two will ever cross paths in the form of required to do the other.

I agree. That would be like expecting CoP missions to depend on the completion of RoZ.

Though at the end, you will need both done for some cool CS.
 
No both mission are linked, for example you need a wildcat badge to pass the first missions. Secondly Naja Salaheem takes part in the ToAU storyline, so i guess your rank will play a role eventually. Definately not like CoP and Z.
 
i completed all the missions for this update lastnight, You dont get anything for doing them but a lousy mythril coin.
 
They soloable like 1-8?
 
Well I've done 2 assaults and lost both times, and I got the cut scene to go explore the ruins last night, so I'm doubting they rely on your assault status to complete.

Couldn't be bothered to even commence with the missions last night however, I'm waiting till I know what to do since I pretty much skipped most of the cut scene with talking in linkshell and playing FFVII at the same time... Ah well :)

Same, I was pretty disappointed. Not because of getting a mythril coin, but because of the lack of content. Bunch of CSs, one poppable NM, and a BC. All taken care of in one day - .-. Guess I'll need to wait another 1-3 months for some new stuff ^^

yeah its pretty sad how insanley easy it all was >.>i felt more like i did one quest than a few missions...
 
Yeah, I came home last night around 8pmish, and my thf friend told me about the new missions, so after I did the event for a while, we started around 9pm with these new missions, found Warhorse Hoofprint on the way to the ruins so I got my SP rank up during that time too.

We got the first two drops from those malboro-type mobs right away, so either it's 100% or just a high drop, at least with a thf. Then once we reached the NM spawn point, first we invited a JP NIN who was by himself, and an alliance was in front of us, so I asked if we could join them, so they allowed us too.

Then we fought that together, and went to the BC together, and it was all so simple. I went in the BC as rdm/nin and melee'd, and even at one point when the captain came out, I was tanking a few of the formors for a bit easily.

There was a bit of waiting around for a few more to come with us again for the second BC run, but all in all it took maybe 4 hours to finish all the new missions.

I went 1/5, so it's not 100%. I solo'd them on BLM72 and they were pretty easy. Sleep wasn't been resisted at all.

I went liike 0/10 on Jody's Acid.

Just killed Jaz and going for BC later today. I just need 81 more IS for transport...:\ If anyone wants to duo/trio some stuff with me for 81 IS, let me know^^
 
you could solo that in like 10-15 minutes easy.
 
As a 64 bard I doubt you'll have much trouble getting into a party if you ask, refreshers are always nice.

*holds up "why not to let your IS get so low that you can't portal somewhere if needed" sign*

But as a more practical suggestion, nab an imperial silverpiece (out of the AH if you don't already have one - you could get one for 100 IS too, but considering how low on IS you are, AH is probably smarter).

Go to the Alzadaal entrance west of Nashmau, use the coin to enter. Take the warp thing there (which, unlike the one in northwest Bhaflau that you go to earlier in the new missions, *does* work) and it sends you to the Alzadaal entrance on Dvucca, at which point you stroll outside and sneak along as if you'd started from the staging point.

(This is, as an aside, a very easy way to *get* that staging point now, for anyone who doesn't have it yet.)

General stealth stuff applies - sneak for the doomed, sneak/invis for the qutrub, invis for the lamia, don't walk in front of the true sight imps, and when you see Ephramadian Shades or whatever they're called, they're sound (and once you get to them, there aren't any more sight aggros to watch out for).
