New TP Burn

I watched both the videos seemed really cool. I haven't had a chance to fight either of these monsters but I have heard war stories!

I suppose I have a question for TP burning LSs when taking down big baddies.

Do you think just zerging something down takes away from the initial foundation of teamwork FFXI is based around? For example, when I was in my first real sky LS there was debate if we should try a Kirin TP burn or not. I've always thought it was neat doing it the old school way because it included everyone there, all jobs etc. I am not bashing this technique at all, I was just wondering how much communication and work is involved for a TP burn NM :)

it sort of takes away i guess... if you like to think about the old days;) but most people cant zerg bahamut this way, you need alot of high end gear, certain jobs, certain things to make it work right. these fights take planning.

as far as kirin.. kirin is sort of a joke, and it requires alot less of the mentioned above to melee burn it...
 
I'd say the people that do the TP burn methods are people that have already done the conventional way many, many times before and are looking for somthing different to do to kinda jazz up the fight. TP burning looks easy, but things can go wrong fast if you don't know what you are doing.
 
The Vrtra video could have been alot better made, it didn't give me the same omgwtf that was ridiculous effect that the Bahamut2 one did. Nonetheless still very impressive.
 
The vrtra one is pretty rediculous, but yea the person doing it fucked it up big time. You didnt see his hp until it was down to like 10% and you couldn't really see the drk's meleeing, you just knew they were from the drain effects going off.

Kinda wondering how he never summoned though, stun doesnt cancel his summoning. Maybe he did and I just missed it or maybe since he was getting so much tp and getting pwned so fast he kept trying to WS.

All I really saw was StunStunStunStunStunStunStunStunStunStun then WOWOWOWOWOWLOLOLOL OMGOMG and some obnoxious music.

we've used several different types-- usually because people available is seemingly different. the first fight we only had 2 WHM, because 1 of the WHM couldn't get in, and it wouldn't let us add another person at that point, so we actually won the first fight with 17 people and only 2 WHM.
 
Could 5 COR and some other job theoretically 2h endlessly (at least, until all 5 fail to reset JA)?

The Wild Card ability is not affected by the Wild Card V or VI effect. In other words, one Corsair's Wild Card cannot restore another Corsair's Wild Card "
