New update

Well, middle of July isn't really that fast, and can't that be considered an official notice? XD
 
SE has generally done updates every 2-3 months, and it's been 2 months since the expansion came out. I think most people were expecting it to be released this month, but July works too. Chocobo breeding will be interesting, but more importantly they need to add the AF quests for the new jobs(tired of hearing cythe whine) and the new additions to the job-specific merits.
 
Yea....I kinda understood that there wouldnt be an update last month, but the fact that it wasnt this month kinda gets to me.

mid-july.....damn. Most ppl are already done with the current Assault and mission content. Give us more stuff nowz!!
 
Woohoo, another month of waiting at 50-52 for AF ; ; And they better add the damned AF! If not, ugh

Missions I can see, but assault? I've seen between 5 and 10 people with the title superior private. Or are you referring to the first tier? Either way it's a pain just getting people together to do PFC assaults ><;

On a side note, As long as the update is coming at a later date, it'll give SE more time to work out those annoying bugs that always call for a minimum of five emergency maintenances after the update.
 
Sorry about that, for some reason I misunderstood the date the update was.

somehow i edited out "July" and just recognized the 6/16/2006.

No, i'm talking about Superior Private. Eversince they fixed the Warhorse Hoofprint thingy, there have been alot more SPs.

Plus, we already have a load of high lvl BLUs, CORs, and PUPs. These folks need their AF.

I mean, not that its the end of the world that its been 3 months since our last update. I was just saying that its kind of a slight pain in the butt.

No one has a full set of yigit or the other sets of gear yet, so no one is actually "done" with Assault yet. Not to mention that since the SP quest was fixed, you could have completed every assault that's currently released in under 2 weeks, so it's not surprising that people would have done all the assaults already.
 
More ppl will have more gear the sooner they release more Assault ranks and missions which yield more AP.

The Higher-tier assaults don't give more AP automatically. I haven't done any of the SP assaults yet, but I've gotten less AP from some PFC assaults than some of the PSC assaults. The only real difference is in the items that you can get from the box after a win. Regardless, you can still only get 1 tag a day, so it wouldn't effect the rate people get gear.

Bleh, I haven't been in Al'Zhabi in a while, I probably missed all the new XPs. I'm also a little surprised that there's no AF being added. I guess they've been putting most of their efforts developing this chocobo raising system.

Eh they haven't announced whether AF will or will not be added. There's still a month til the update; Adjustments to Besieged, new missions and quests, and a variety of other additions and changes are also on the way! could refer to the AF, we have no way of knowing until SE posts it on POL beforehand, or the actual day of the update, when we have the info.
 
Good point. Maybe they'll add access to that under water place now (I forgot the name, sorry). That and I hope to get some decent missions in it ^^
 
Im not surprised as they released a rough outline list of the expected release dates of EVERY update and what it would include at the festival, this update was originally planned for august so its coming a bit early, just not too early!
 
Makes me wonder how the new handful of missions will be started. Wonder exactly how it'll be tied in to Mercenary Rank. As SP, no worries over it here, but for others who haven't gotten that far, it might alienate them.
