Hey Y'all! I am in rehearsals for my newest show CANNIBAL THE MUSICAL, so if anyone is around the DC Metro area on Friday/Saturday nights from Aug 25-Sept 16, come and see us! My RL fiancee josh (Jerkface on QCDN) plays the lead male Alfred Packer (he is the one on the poster w/ the bad fake facial hair) and I play the female lead (I get to be a girl in this one - YAY!) Landless Theatre Celebrates Its Adaptation of Trey Parkers Cannibal! The Musical with FREE RAW MEAT!

A Shpadoinkle Giveaway for Some Lucky Audience Members

Washington DC August 3, 2006 Landless Theatre Company, purveyor of Theatre for the Theatre Challenged, is celebrating its adaptation of the Cannibal! The Musical by South Park co-creator Trey Parker in the most fitting way possible: By giving some lucky audience member the gift of raw meat.

Cannibal! The Musical and the Landless Theatre Companys raw meat extravaganza will be held Friday and Saturday evenings at 10 PM, August 25 through September 16, 2006 at the District of Columbia Arts Center (DCAC), 2438 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20009. Tickets for the late-night production of Cannibal! The Musical can be purchased through the Landless Theatre Web site: www.landlesstheatre.org

Why raw meat? Why NOT raw meat? explained Landless Theatre Company Artistic Director Andrew Lloyd Baughman, who adapted Cannibal! The Musical for the stage from the Troma motion picture.

Ill admit its strange, and disgusting, and maybe a little wasteful, but well, its meat, and its raw, and that has to count for something, Baughman pointed out philosophically.

Were pretty sure no other theater group in the country is giving away raw meat, which strikes us as odd, Baughman noted. Its a protein-rich food, you know, he said. Shpadoinkle, he added.

Every Saturday evening during the run of Cannibal! The Musical (All Singing! All Dancing! All Flesh-Eating!), Landless Theatre will give away a choice piece of (probably) beef to a member of the theater audience.

The meat will be refrigerated to proper USDA storage standards and will be completely edible when cooked, according to an unnamed Landless theatre spokesperson. Said meat will be on display by company members outside the DCAC venue before each evenings performance for closer scrutiny by interested theatre-goers.

Grade and cut of meat may vary each week.

Cannibal! The Musical is the true story (according to Colorado lore) of the only person convicted of cannibalism in America - Alferd Packer. While searching for gold and horse-love (dont ask) in the Colorado Territory, Packer and his companions lost their way and resorted to unthinkable horrors, including toe-tapping songs.

The cast of Landless Theatre Companys production of Cannibal! The Musical will include Josh Speerstra, Jennifer Berg, Alex Zavistovich, Ally Jenkins, Tim King, Chad Allen, Jen Tonon, Jon Geoffrion, Dan Cullen, Edward Kerrick, Ed Xavier and Momo Nakamura. The show will be directed by well-known DC actor/director Chris Davenport.

Landless Theatre Company is also negotiating with Troma Pictures for other promotional Cannibal! The Musical merchandise, for audience members not lucky enough to get a hand on their own meat.
