Newyears Celeb. 2007 (Where is dayner's obligatory post?)

A new event is already upon us and no PoL post has been made by dayner. I myself couldn't find much on it other than this translated page: Clicky . Seems it's the new years celebreation 2007, there are some bugards running around gustaberg, no idea why though.

Remember last year it was the year of the dog? Fenrir + 3 summoners running around? This time it's the year of the boar/pig, whichever. Trade random junk to it to recieve random buffs. (based on the Chinese New Year stuff)

interesting, thankyou. I meant no offense dayner, it just seems you're always the first to post news from PoL (though I admit there is no official post yet). If you look at the page I gave a link to it indicates two items are given as rewards - both r/e. Check near the bottom.

I've gotten the Battledore, you do trades to the Wood Bugard til you get a New Years Gift r/ex item(can take a while, and I used crystals, flan meat, and chimera blood, so I'd assume most items work), theres 3 children NPCs who want one, one in Port Windurst, North Sandy, and Bastok Markets(?) not sure on the last 2, but the one in Port Windurst is near the zone into Sarutabaruta name is Pyru-Copyru.

Anyways I traded him the gift and got 3 options, picked the 2nd one(which was give me what you have in your pocket) and got that club, the Battledore, lvl 1, damage 2 delay 264, unique model though.

Don't think theres a HQ for it(and to Shome, if thats the Miracle wand, that is the Valentines event item most likely, theres a NQ and HQ), but you can search out the "Grandpa" that is talking to the children via a linkshell, his name is Dilauriome.
He's on the Windurst-Jeuno airship on upper lvl, talk to him with the Battledore equipped, he will ask for 2 Black inks and 1 bast parchment, trade them to him(with Battledore equipped) and get a copy of "Hoary Spire" a r/ex furnishing.

I believe those are the only 2 item rewards from the New Years Event.

From what's been mentioned above I think the two r/e items I mentioned are the battledor and the painting, though it sounds like there may be more items available, since the kids gave quina three options. Anway, I'm of to a party, see you guys around.

3 options not necessarily for an item, I clicked the other 2.
There's the give me whats in your pocket(which gave me the Battledore first time, fireworks on subsequent attempts, Option 2)

The one above that(aka option 1) was talk to the "Grandpa", which as far as I can tell is just a 2006 in recollection 2007 prediction type thing for your character. The NPC told me I was into fads and fashions, to play COR or PUP cause everyone else is(Lol?), always in search of a good time, and about my refusal to act normal every now and then freaks a lot of people out, and to keep that in mind b4 I run down to the AH wearing a subligar(wtf?) and some minor things about how the noble spirit of Fenrir guards my shadows, etc.

Option 3 was ask more info about the Grandpa, which is just hints to his location, for me in Windurst I got the clue that he was in a place high up where he can see for malms.
Another I've heard is him saying about the resources he's using to travel around not costing so much when he was younger.

Also there's no other items in the .dats, except the miracle wands, but if the rewards from this years Valentines events are similiar to last years, it'll be those, plus there probably won't be a version update before Valentines that added in those rewards, if the miracle wands were in fact from New Years.

Just the item itself (miracle wand) is lame. I mean, who the crap wants a regen every 260 hours? I'll pass. Maybe I'll organize one of these player events and make some rewards that are worth doing the event cause this is just lame - .-
