Next update on EXP

Not if you're already 60 or 65. If you're already at 65, which is considered a runt by many high levelers, you're looking at a 25k xp difference. That's what...4 hours to a static party? 5 craptacular pickup parties? Essentially a Saturday and Sunday evening, finished off by some Monday work.

I'm ignoring you Panda because you open with a flame when we're trying to be civil.

That doesn't make my point any less signifigant than yours. You have insulted many a person on this board with your comebacks and your inability to stand up for yourself so in my opinion my flame = your overall attitude.

You can't hide from the fact that I made a good point, man. Ignoring it and coming up with excuses as to why you ignored it is just easier for you than thinking about maybe being wrong for once, I guess.

Looking at numbers given by the new graph posted...

The difference is 222,000 in xp for an old lvl 75 versus a new one.

So if old players was under the new system, they can have one extra character at lvl 50.

222,000 is like 22 Merit points -_- I really am disappointed in the likeliness that lvl 51+ players will not be compensated.

In Firestreaks case he would have 3-4 more characters at lvl 50? or 4x22 about 88 Merit points... That's a lot of hours we are talking about. (Assuming 5k an hour that's 44.4hours per lvl 75)

I think everyone can see how that might be sad.

Well if the exp cap between 75-76 hasnt changed you haven't lost your buffer exp. It shouldn't affect the lvl 75's at all actually, other than feeling they got ripped off in the 50-70 (which they did technically.)

People flamed me because of my arguments, I flamed back. It got out of hand, it got pointless. I'm done talking with people who flame me on this thread. End of story. Stop trying to instigate me. You're wasting your time typing.

This is directed to Panda not you Mistaya.

In response for mist~

according to the latest graph posted, @76 is 38,000 instead of 45,000~

So for those whol liked to cap out their buffer, they actually lost 7,000 xp --__-

I know 70-75 is almost no change. It's an argument for how little this will really matter. The majority of people who would have gotten to 75 should be on their way to that by now. I'd say most are where I am, since I'm pretty much the epitome of the bluecollar mass of this game. The difference between me and Elemmire isn't that much pre-versus post update, and I'd guess that there are thousands of me's who really won't change anything in the equation. Again, most people getting to 75 will benefit by at most 30,000 xp. To some of you all that have multiple 75's, that is nothing. Takes no time, takes no effort.

If you had it easier, you would have the same merit points you always did. I guarantee you would have had the same behavior you did now. You cannot make the argument for merit point compensation. Would you have leveled another job with your extra time? Probably not. Would you have done some money-making stuff? Probably.

Can we afford to infuse any more gil into this game, or split the concentration of wealth further? That's the only fair thing to do. Of course we can't. That's already a prime problem itself.

Ok ok, not that I actually spent the time to figure all that out. But if your numbers are correct thats pretty messed up lol. I would be mad too.

Anyways I"m glad I"m not in that boat. :D

Again, how is that not affecting us? People need to stop looking at that ONE level, thinking it's all that matters. Like it's been explained, 220k is a huge chunk of time. What's even worse is how this change benefits the level range with the most available camps around, but those with the least amount of camps still get nothing. And if you guys(51-69) don't utilize those camps and complain about overcrowding, thats your problem, not ours. Try breaking away from the mold for once and going somewhere no one else is at.

And to Sneaky... basically, from what I gather. Your view seems to be...

"You guys have more time than me to play FF so your time is less important."

No. I would be the last person to say that. If I meant that, I think you know I'd say that. If you don't realize after 30+ pages that I have only been saying what I mean, then quite honestly, you need to stop reading between the lines. Stop looking for the hidden angle, Fire.

I stated before that I was perfectly happy playing this game with the XP the way it was. I also said I am upset that I have become a victim of this scenario. I'm not below 51 or at 75. Inevitably with change, people feel like they are losing something, particularly if they've had a lot of experience with the "old" way.

What cracks me up is the people who "saw this coming" and still complain about it. That's proof that people really NOTHING better to do thatn bitch and moan about it. Not once did I say or imply my time is more important than anyone else's. Shame on you for trying to pin that on me. I did repeatedly say that everyone should just get over it.

If I were 75 right now, not matter how much time I had invested or could currently invest, I'd download the update and move on. What I've said is that it is ridiculous to take this topic beyond discussion, to the point where people insult each other over it, send PMs over it, burn bridges, put words in others' mouths, read between lines to beef up their own arguments, and use the excuse that other people make personal attacks on them to justify their poorly put together responses.

Face value is the only value that worth shit. Take my words and this update as that, and get over it.

Time is the main issue here. Those who spent all the time to get all that exp, have now been slapped in the face, and it stings something fierce. That time they spent getting all that exp has now been moved to waste.

All the time spent exping, for nothing. That exp is gone now. That is what people are so upset about. (or so, they should be)

I will note, I never said that the people who are level 75 didn't have a right to be pissed. I actually admit as well that I didn't think that the change would be this big. I'm kind of shocked at the amount of xp that they are removing. I honestly didn't expect it to be this much.

Now, that being said, THAT is a lot of wasted game hours. SE kind of screwed a lot of people at the top.

In my eyes though, it doesnt change the fact that many of the arguments that were placed here by teh level 75 people has to do with "player worth" and "n00bs at the top" and other things that really don't adress how they may feel screwed about wasted time. A lot of those arguments sounded completely elitest, and that is where my /anger and /insult comes from.

All level 75 people have a right to be angry. THEY DONT however, have a right to take it out on people who havent reached that level yet and make assumptions about those people and their playing skills, which i have seen a lot of.

Those who spent all that time before have been rewarded in full. That's the cold hard truth. If you squandered it you squandered it. Being 75 for one year will always have more reward than being 75 for a month.

Again, emphasized, highlighted, and isolated:

75 isn't what it used to be. Be glad you may have had it when it was the game, the life of the game, the domination of the game, and the bread of the game.

fire, you're just ignoring me at this point because i'm right.

Sneaky, you said, and I quote:

In the grand scheme of your FFXI "careers", this means nothing. And, it is insisted that the noobs keep missing the point.

I lost at least 300k exp. Until you can say with the amount of time you play, 300k you could shrug off and get off with, this is a fair conclusion to make about what your statement implies.

If you read the PM I sent, you'll notice it was a request to keep the flaming out of this discussion because it's not doing any good, and it as respectful of wording as I could. But I'd hate to accuse you of personal attacks on them to justify their poorly put together responses.

Exactly Panda, not once did I bring any player or characters integrity into my posts. My problems are Alienation of both time spent in the past(220k+Death Regained exp), how it'll be spent in the future(overcrowding in an already badly bottlenecked position,) and that there are no readily available(Sure Grand Palace and Garden, but we don't know what the exp mobs, if there are, would be like) additions to the flatlined endgame.

But like I said. More High Level Players = More Dynamis Shells = More Ancient Currency floating around. Thats not a bad thing. That is really good.

All of this is reading between the lines...Exactly what I just recommended agianst. You just can't see it any other way, because you want to be so upset about this.

Piss on, pissy guy.

Why I keep coming back to even look at this thread is beyond me. It's like the Jerry Springer effect. It's so dumb, you just can't tear your eyes away, because you just know something even dumber will happen next.

Anything important, and I reitterate this, has already been said.
