NFL Network

Honestly.. I can't figure out why the hell the NFL is doing this.. They keep trying to make it out to be the Cable Companies' faults, but it seems to me all fingers point to the NFL trying to force it's "package" on them. lolz, i funny.

Also, Trippy, gtfo this thread and go smoke some pot. -_-;

No, seriously, don't waste your time in a thread you clearly don't care about.

Fair enough.

Honestly though, I thought someone was just pissed off at football. Why is everyone saying fuck the NFL network?

Because the NFL decided it wanted to start broadcasting its own games. Which would be fine if the NFL channel was part of your basic cable package.

So basically the NFL is alienating its own fanbase by allowing only people who can afford to pay for that channel to watch their games...

It's bullshit

Edit: Thought I'd clarify a little.
The reason I'm pissed now, since this has been going on all year, is because tonight the 10-1 Packers and the 10-1 Cowboys are playing and I can't watch it ; ;

I get the NFL network for free with Dish Network. Which is cheaper than cable (in my area). And since my cable company won't run the wiring for cable internet an extra 50 yards in either direction (the houses on both sides of me have cable internet. I live almost exactly on the county line, and they refuse to run the cable 50 yards from either direction, even if I paid them for the cable and the labor to run it.), I have to have DSL if I want highspeed that doesn't completely suck balls. So fuck thier cable tv. I got Dish Network, which comes with free DVR (200 hours), costs less, and has all those digital music channels that cable offers.

Of course, I never even stop on the 20 or so dedicated sports channels that includes NFL network.

edit: Strangly enough, after I submitted this post, one of the people staying here at my hotel asked me if I knew what channel the Green Bay v. Dallas game was coming on and if we had that channel.

lol, I hate you ; ;

I'll be one of those people, but at a sports bar(assuming I get my paper finished...)

Cowboys won. It was a pretty good game. Rodgers was playing much better than Favre was before he got injured.

"Hoooow 'bout dem Cooooowboyiiiessss! Woooooooooo!"

That commercial always made me lol.

I had no idea the NFL was doing this. I've got Dish Network, and my roomate was watching the game last night, never mentioned anything like this.

I guess it's kinda like how the NHL doesn't get played on any ESPN channels now, damn TSN bullshit... (Every home game here is blacked out, like we are going to buy a ticket to see a failing franchise... damn Trashers...)

On that note... Go Sens! [/endfairweatherfan]

Fuck my cable provider, they don't offer the NFL network or the fucking Big Ten network. MOFTHEUTHEUFHADFK/RAGE

I got NFL Network but I went to the bar instead and me and my brother got into it with a few Packer fans. It was raining out after the game when the Packer fans were leaving early... sweet victory :)

AHAHAHA! I have both. Seriously just upgrade to dish network it's better than cable.

Im a little alienated from the outside world so enlighten me a little.

Does this only refer to games the NFL decides to personally broadcast or can abc, nbc, espn, etc. still broadcast games? Cus if this refers to every game there is noooooo way this will last more then a year. The stagering amount of money they will lose will kick them in the nuts.

Agreed, its utter bullshit that they wait later on in the season to pick the hot teams/games to charge extra amount of $$$ to get to watch. Being a Packers fan, wasn't to pleased when they picked the Tony Homo's / Packers game. Nothing like watching espn's game ticker so you know who's winning, or having to use ESPN radio to get to listen to the game.
