NHL 2K8 or NHL 08

neither! :D sports games suck, go play the sport itself

j/k.. hmm I've only tried NHL 08. That was ok (for a sports game).
 
I'm not a hockey fan, but I did like NBA 07, and I heard bad things about NBA 2k7. So if I had to choose between the two I'd probably get NHL 08.
 
NBA Live 2007 was shit, and 2k7 was so much better. It used to be if you wanted pretty graphics, go with EA, if you wanted a better game, get 2k. However, in terms of graphics, they are about the same now, and 2K is still the better game, so I say go 2k with everything now.

Without a doubt.

I never could stand playing the 2k hockey games. I read a review that '08 is supposed reinvent the hockey series to what NHL '94 did, even though I disagree, I'm really enjoying '08 and think it's a great game.
 
Eh, if I have the choice I always go with 2k Sports over EA. The only EA Sport games I like was the Triple Play series. However I will admit, MLB 2k7 disappointed me after a while. It's pretty much which team can hit the most homers instead of focusing on small ball and home runs being a perk.
 
Tried both 2k8 and 2008, I liked NHL 2008 more. Im a fan of the smart stick system and its VERY difficult this year to score ive found. Not all unbalanced like past years where you can score 23 goals by the third period.

Just for clarification, 07 and 2007 are not the same game.

Ive gone with EA sports game for years and years now...ive never enjoyed the 2k games at all. Im waitin for fifa 08...have had every fifa since 96 lol.
 
I HAVE NHL 2K7 and am dissapointed. i have played this series since dreamcast and always was pleased with 2k series. this year is totally different. the servers for ps2 are horrible, so hard to connect to a peer. the game is so much harder , they made it impossible to score unless you hold down r3, triangle, sprinting and 360 at a right angle, etc... (get the point)?
360 version is prolly much better but ill prolly be trading this in for ea.

lol, nothing big. The only reason I nitpicked is because I told a friend about how I liked 07 and he went out and bought 2007. He got pissed off at me for telling him to buy a shitty game.
