Movie Nightmare on elm street

Just got back from watching this, and boy what an absolute let down. They changed everything freddy was, with a few throwbacks to the original. Freddys face looked like a burnt up naked mole rat and his background story was not even close to the real thing. I actually fell asleep during the damn movie, and how many times did they really need to have silent moments where he suddenly pops out?
The acting was HORRIBLE by everyone pretty much except freddy, the fear was not believeable at all, it was just a huge clusterfuck.
But hearing freddy with a slight accent toward the end sounding like forest gump was damn funny.

I love krueger, but this movie sucked ass.

I like katie cassidy though.

The guy who plays freddy was really good and yeah it was kind of weird in a way but i think it was an ok movie.

Kellan and the chick who plays nancy were an absolute fail. Worst acting ive seen since that Lohan flick 5 years ago.

it was my understanding from what i've been told that they didn't want it to be like the previous films. I was told freddy would be much more serious in his attitude and that it was more of a revenge thing instead of him killing for the sake of it. I'm not surprised that the origin was redone. i read one review on IMDB and the fella gave it a 7/10. he also said that if you are a kruger fan you'd enjoy the show. first thing i thought of was "i already know one who didn't." lol
