Watch out for NIKAS. This TOOL decided to participate in a couple of fights and then for the next 30 mins, just stood there and then went AFK on my party. Since I was leveling my BLM and really wasn't paying attention to melee, except the tank. For some reason I just got really mad at NIKAS when the tank pointed it out. I usually am calm and don't get angry, but jeez. I was to the point where I wanted to pummel his fingertips with a sledgehammer or hit him in both eyes with a wooden spoon with splinters. It was weird, I've never felt this mad in game before, about party members. Just stay away from this waste of space.

Don't feel too ashamed.....I wouldn't be thrilled if my PT was working their butts off to gain EXP and some guy was just standing there doing nothing.
He may have had an emergency and had to run out or something. Even if he was just being a jerk and saying "OMG L3tz Pwn3D d1$ PT cUZ d3rE m0Mz r gH3Y!" then by all means should you boot him and look for a replacement after about 5-10 minutes. He should know the consequences of leaving his character like that, and 5 other people should not have to suffer like that (30 minutes wow! Nobody that I know would wait that long)
Anyway those are my 2 cents.

Sneaky, I think he was a NIN. And I like the idea of chewing eyelids, then I would proceed with my splintered spoon. muwahahahahahahaha.
if i notice someone not doing anything halfway through the fight than i just boot them so they dont get the exp. one time i told a party i had to go for 30-45 mins. they never decided to boot me heh i got like 3k exp out of it.

When I am leading a party nothing irratates me more than ppl taking afks every other fight. If someone tells me they need a 10 min afk I ask them to log out. Its safer for them, plus if it extends past 10 mins they are not gonna get labeled an exp leech by me

LOL wonder how many people are gonna catch Vang's meaning. Yeah, I got inwardly pissed today when a guy didnt adjust to a movement and stood around for half the fight cause he couldnt see the mob. Of course he is like later on "I have to log after the next one." Levels, no surprise. Irks me some. Eh well, I didnt say anything cause we were doing decent and I know I have had to run check the stove once or twice and I figure no point mentioning it if its gonna take about 4 seconds.
I kind of felt bad for my friend...
He was in the dunes, and they took down a link or something, and so they all had to rest for a bit, so my friend laid down on his bed(his bed is right next to the computer) he fell asleep, woke up the next morning, he was a new level, and he didn't catch any aggro, he was just standing there...he was like "shit"
He learnt never to go and lay on his bed when there is big downtime...
So basically, he accidentally leeched
