Zoo, I vaguely recall you saying something about using Last resort and weapon bash for the stacking effect a few months ago. I'm not sure if I was just wasn't reading the post right, but care to elaborate on that?

Souleater + Weapon bash is great, idk about last resort. If I did say last resort it was a typo. Although Last Resort is decent hate, it doesnt seem like it gives as much hate as it did when I play drk. Idk, maybe it has to do with your attack (which is very low when im using staff), or maybe I just dont notice the hate increase when I use LR because im either already tanking or other person just has more hate.

A lot of a Nin/Drk's effectivenessis is that Ninjas can boost their haste gear "percentage" levels, and then lower their /recast time on Stuns. One Stun may be a lower level of spiked hate than one Provoke, but over time, the hate build up from multiple Stuns, increases the overall level of a Nin/Drk's hate.
There are a number of moves with higher hate than stuns, of both Spell and Job Ability. If put into an order level of Hate given to you from that JobAbil./Spell alone, (with no damage.) It would follow something like; Provoke, Flash, High HP Cures, Souleater, Stun, Warcry, Last Resort, Dispel, , Ninjustu: Damage, Ninjutsu:Enfeebling Magic, un-boosted Chi-Blast, Blind, Paralyze, , etc...
Combined with the damage over time from Melee/Weaponkills, and or Magic Spells, a Nin/Drk can hold a moderate amount of hate. So... Yes, Nin/Drk’s are very suitable tanks, from both Hate level, Abilities to absorb damage from direct offense with Shadows, and the spell "Stun" ~ » Which can be used to for kiting, being it stops the target from moving for a short time, Hate, and also stops AOE kinds of attacks.

This is of course, to say it’s a potential Tank, with certain uses. For instance, a Ninja cannot generate hate as high as a Paladin “potentially” can, and with limited mp, sustaining hate depends on how much MP from a Subjob mp supply they have left. In many cases, it may be better for a Ninja to sub Warrior, for Spiked hate placement with Provoke, higher Melee DD, and eliminating the need for a steady MP supply. Cycling hate moves is the key.

As to whether resisted Enfeebles generate less hate than landed ones, I do know that resisted Enfeebles do generate “some” hate. As to the amount... I’ve found it’s hard to tell how much hate a low Enmity spell like Paralyze actually adds.

true, refresh does give some hate, but I did say etc. including every spell/move in the game would be a long list lol.

Yes, I've found that Gravity, Dispel, and Bind generally give more hate than the other Enfeebling Magics.
Dispel can get you crazy hate... Not that most people on rdm or subbing it want that but its pretty high up there when spammed . And the recast is way low

If you don't have a rdm or brd, you're gonna have trouble taking down anything big. Without refresh/ballad/march/haste you lose a lot of the potency of the job, and wouldn't be able to hold hate as well as a nin/war for any fight that lasts over 5 minutes.imbris said:
