all i have is homam head, should i use dusk gloves and feet for tanking /nin?

Throw away Homam Head

Get Waloolaala Turban

Swap a mix of haste and enmity in for Flash casts, and full haste when casting shadows

And shield skill. dont forget the shield skill for utsu.
I'm not sure how im supposed to be prioritizing it vs haste personally though. I think plds use full shield+ builds during ichi and haste builds on ni?

I don't know anymore. >_<

Some say this, some say that. I was mid-way editing about the AF feet in my post but then I realised, mweh, someone will say it.

If the mob doesn't hit fast you can easily recast shadows without the need to depend on shield blocks =p

for ni put on full haste gear
for ichi put on full shield skill gear so you don't get interupted (unless you always just start casting while you still have shadows up then go ahead and keep haste on.)

NEVER use homam head. get a turban

enmity + haste for flash.

I completely agree with Jakey here. However, on some mobs I drop some shield gear for haste pieces. This is usually because of mobs that don't double/triple attack or their attack rate is so low you could cast AMII spells between their attacks....

Why would double/triple attack matter at all? For interruption purposes they all count as going off at the same time. This is why you can actually cast shadows on mobs like charybdis. Also, generally speaking, any mob that can be slowed and elegy'd with consistency can have ichi cast between swings. That is unless you completely suck.

Edit: Wow neccccro didn't even notice the post date. Sorry doodz.
